That was a good Spurs game

I'm taking my 7 year old to his first Spurs game Wednesday night since we are back in town this week. We are planning on going to catch shoot around and try to get close to the players before the game. Do any of you regular game attenders have any advice for getting close to players for possible autographs or pictures?

I've been to Mavs games early back in the day and had good experiences catching players headed to the locker room after shoot around. TIA

You have to get down to the tunnel that leads to the Spurs locker room. The ushers will only allow people down there with lower section tickets, then limit the number to about 10-20 on a 1st come 1st served basis.

Spurs waive Nico. Maybe they are having more confidence in Murray as the third string.

His contract would have been guaranteed on January 10th. D Murray has looked like can take over the role of 3rd PG and this gives roster flexibility. Enjoyed watching Lapro play, good luck to him.

That's too bad. I'm sure they'll keep his number in case TP goes down again.

Nico was never a long term solution and Tony/Patty/Manu will be and would have been your playoff rotation.

Murray is a long term play (1-2 years), so this frees up some minutes to get him PT.

Thanks for the heads up! We made it to the Suns tunnel that was the same end of the court the Spurs were shooting on. The kids were able to get pictures on the court and a wave back from manu as well. The only thing that sucked was Kawhi was absent.

San Antonio moves to 11-0 when I am in attendance. Murdered the Raptors on hot shooting from Kawhi and a block party.

Spurs rolling right now. Just destroyed Toronto and Denver making it look easy. Only recent loss was in OT at Atlanta where Kawhi was coming off the flu and Tim Hardaway Jr. went out of body with an abnormally great shooting performance.

These guys are creeping towards fun to watch again.

I agree. LA has found his rhythm, Tony is playing well. Danny is hitting his best 3 pt % ever.

Every Spurs starter plus Manu and Patty are hitting over 40% from 3 and as a team they have the 2nd highest FG %, highest 3 pt % and highest FT %. Add that to 2nd best defensive efficiency and you got a good chance to win!

Maybe it's just my impression, but it seems there are less elite teams this year and a lot more mid range teams. With the exception of Houston in the west & Milwaukee in the east, I haven't seen any team really move up in competition from last year and there are some traditional door mats that are giving the Spurs a harder time. If the Spurs, Clippers, Warriors & Rockets stay healthy, that will be the 4 teams in the WC semi's. Hopefully the Spurs get the Rockets and the Warriors take out the Clippers, because the Spurs just seem to **** their pants at the very sight of CP3 & co.

Agree with this. I like the Spurs chances against Houston better than the Clips. Hoping we keep the 2 spot and Houston stays at the 3 seed. I think Pop knows how to stop Dantoni and the freaking Clippers just have our number it seems.

Really want to finally get the warriors in the WCF and a 7 game series. Just wish Timmy was still around for it.

LMA is really coming on and Parker looks great. Just hoping they can sustain this level of play through May. Seems like Tony always has some injury at the most inopportune time. Spurs will need LMA and Parker playing like this to have a legitimate shot.

Crazy that in all his seasons we never drew a playoff matchup against the rockets

They've only made it past the second round of the playoffs twice since their **B2B Championships.

That's right. 21 years, and only two trips to the Western Conference FInals.

There's a reason Timmy never got to play them in the playoffs, and it's because they were never around to take their ass whipping.

Kawhi hit 30 with just over 5 mins left in the game and didn't score again. The Spurs' couldn't find a way to get him the ball on many possessions and couldn't find him shots. They can't let that happen going forward.

Spurs sexually assault the Lakers tonight. Scored 106 through 3 quarters and end up with a 134 to 94 win. The offense is hummin along.
