T'Wolves game, nice win.

Grizz's birthday. T'Wolves, Rockets, Pistons mascots were in attendance. As were Pouncer (Memphis Tigers) and Rocky (Memphis Redbirds).

Chris Herrington mentioned that the Grizzlies have held all 28 home opponents under 100 points this season. That is the longest home streak since the invention of the shot clock.

Wow that is crazy Iowa.

Tonight starts reunion week.

At Detroit tonight (Prince and Daye)

Then onto Toronto (Ed Davis and Rudy). It seems that since Rudy has left, there have been some pretty sharp comments about his role on the team.

Good way to start the second half off with a win. What do you mean by sharp comments Iowa?

Rudy doesn't tweet much in season, but he did put this out there, and eventually remove it.

In an NBATV interview, he was asked about what he'll most miss about Memphis and the Grizzlies, and he said, "nothing".

ZBo made comment that the team is playing better now, and they are more set for the playoffs.

On one hand, I understand supporting your current team, but if this had been Lakers/former Lakers involved, TMZ would be jumping over ESPN reporters to cover it.

Raptors are 6-2 since catching the Gay. Not bad for a pretty mediocre team from before the trade.

Should be good tomorrow.

Also, forgot to add that Kyle Lowry and J. Bayless are part of the reunion tour tonight in Toronto. I could see those two going at it.

Decent interview with Rudy in Commercial Appeal. It does appear that he was hurt by the trade, and wanted to take a run with a healthy Zach into the playoffs. He had been there for the crap times and wanted to see it through. He said he had been willing to be traded the previous summer, but he never asked to be traded.

With Pondexter back and the Grizzlies getting solid contributions from Prince, Davis, and Daye the team looks to be coming into form with this new look.

Grizzlies get Pittman and a second round pick for the rights to Ricky Sanchez.

Ricky Sanchez has logged been with quite a few teams. Hope he got a hat from each one.

He was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers with 35th pick of the 2005 NBA Draft, and was immediately traded to the Denver Nuggets for their selection, Jarrett Jack.

Sanchez was then traded to the Philadelphia 76ers on September 10, 2007.

Sixers traded the rights to Ricky Sanchez on March 15, 2012 for Memphis Grizzlies forward Sam Young.

On February 21, 2013, international rights to Sanchez were traded to the Miami Heat for Dexter Pittman and a 2013 second round draft pick in an attempt to clear roster space for the Heat


Also, for Memphis Tiger fans, Sanchez actually committed to Memphis and John Calipari before going elsewhere.

Among those who have verbally committed to Memphis are a pair of guards, Antonio Anderson and Chris Douglas-Roberts. Up front, the Tigers have verbal commitments from Ricky Sanchez, Shawne Williams and Robert Dozier.

In the past, Calipari has had players like Kendrick Perkins and Qyntel Woods commit but never show up because they jumped straight to the NBA.

Grizzlies had a chance to put the Magic away and are letting them stay alive.

Grizz will pull this one out but it was a lot closer than it needed to be.

Shouldn't have been that difficult, but a win is a win.

I have never attended a more boring Grizzlies game.

Still, it was a win, and when combined with the Nuggets loss to the Wizards, they moved a .5 game closer to LAC, and moved a full game up on Denver.


The highlight was the fan yelling out for Rudy Gay (who had 32 in Toronto's win tonight).

Another typical Memphis win 76-72. Tough defense at the end to come back and win.

I am just not convinced they are a better team without Rudy, Speights et al.

It is painful to watch this team on offense some times.

Memphis better win tonight so I can talk trash to the Mavs fans.

Memphis is getting absolutely throttled.

Grizzlies have erased a 25 point lead now down to 3.

I can not believe Memphis is back in this game let alone leading.

It is nice to be on the other end of a giant comeback win for once.

What a game! Started out horrible, but as soon as I started watching they started winning.

No. We share the season tickets, and interestingly, of the 5 guys that share the tickets, 4 lived in Texas. 2 are Ags, and 2 are t-sips. The Rockets/Spurs/Mavs go pretty high in our drafts (although we end up taking each other half the time anyway).

Everyone is still undecided on whether or not to renew the tickets. Pretty split on it actually because we still are not sold on whether the team is actually better without Gay. Beating up on crappy teams and just barely beating the worst Mavs team since Bill Clinton era isn't helping that.

Damn, that sucks. What a crazy game though.

Played pretty well tonight just came up a little short in the end.

Their defense is good enough to play any team to a7 game series with a chance to win.
Their offense is inconsistent enough to lose to any team in a 7 game series.
