Gasol with over 10 assists tonight. He needs to get a few more rebounds to get a triple double.

Very efficient

With Zach not playing, DA got the start but he had a pretty scary fall in 1st qtr. Has not returned, but that could be because this hasn't been a contest, even without ZBo playing...but Gasol had to play 36 minutes.

And Pitman and Leuer combined for about 26 minutes.

I haven't watched Memphis in recent weeks. Why are they playing such good ball right now?

They are the exact same team defensively. They are just playing better overall right now. They were in a mini slump after they traded Gay. Were neck and neck with the Heat till the final possession on Friday night. You obviously haven't watched them since you criticized the trade. They are no worse off than before. Prince and Davis are playing pretty well. I think all the trade talk year in and year out was starting to affect Rudy Gay, and he had mentally checked out. Rudy was way too inefficient shooting wise by taking shots away from Randolph, Gasol, and Conley.

Good win tonight. Glad the bench got a lot of minutes. Z-Bo with the night off and win by 26 no reason to complain.

Grizzlies come back from 17 down to win.

Good game to win.

Puts the fork in Portland's playoff chances, which is good with 2 more games against them in the final 23 games.

Nice little write up on Marc Gasol's defense on Aldridge last night. He mostly defended Aldridge straight up without help.

-- When Gasol was primary defender: 1-for-11 (0-for-4 in 4th quarter)

-- When Gasol wasn't primary defender: 1-for-2

Of his 1-for-6 mark in the post: He was 0-for-4 with Gasol defending.

Not sure what is going on this season, but according to @ChrisVernonShow

Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace tells us former Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley is in a coma in Chicago hospital.

Not good.

Wow. Feeling nervous about this game right now.

Kyrie is playing really well. Tony Allen with a great steal and a pass to Mike Conley with the layup and the foul. Should have it under control now up 9 with under 2 to play.

Memphis with some big shots to pull away at the end.

Glad they are taking care of business with ZBo and DA. They need to put away NO tomorrow and not take another loss to them, and hopefully Portland made all their shots for the next week tonight against the Spurs. After those two games:

@Clips (2nd night of B2B after Portland)
@Denver
@Utah
(Minn)
OKC

After that stretch, they'll either still be contending for #3 or settled into a 4/5 battle for the rest of the season with Denver.

Any idea when Zach will be back?
Iowaggie
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Doesn't sound like he'll be back for NO tonight, hopefully DA is.

They'll want him for that brutal line up of games.

Gigem Trevas
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Makes sense. I am fine with him resting better safe than sorry. Just wondered if you had heard anything.
Iowaggie

No ZBo or DA tonight.

No problem

Griz only team in the league to be undefeated when they score 97 or more points.

Now they will find out over the next 4-5 games whether the #3 seed is a possibility.
Gigem Trevas
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Hope they can keep the 3 seed.

Game getting tight.

Final minute took forever but a win is a win. Now onto the big game tomorrow night against the Floppers.
Iowaggie
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yeah, that end of the game was ugly.
They got in to la at 3 am cst.

I'm not real optimistic with floppers on a3 day .
They've not best them lately on equal rest

I am not too optimistic about tonight, but we will see.

Some pretty good stuff in the media notes that the NBA/Grizzlies put out.
http://www.nba.com/gamenotes/grizzlies.pdf

Memphis stands at 18‐11 on the road this season, tied for the second‐best road record in the NBA... The Grizzlies are rapidly closing in on their franchise record for road wins in a season (19), which was set in the 2003‐04, 2004‐05 and 2005‐06 seasons, and would tie the record with a win tonight... Memphis has never finished a season with a winning road record.

Memphis rallied back from 25 points down on Feb. 27 vs. Dallas and then came from 17 behind in its next home game on March 6 vs. Portland... Since the start of the 2009‐10 season, Lionel Hollins’ first full season as head coach, the Grizzlies have won 10 games when trailing by at least 17 points, the most in the NBA over that span.

Memphis held opponents under 100 points in its first 28 home games to start the 2012‐13 season, the longest such streak to start a season by an NBA team since the institution of the shot clock in 1954‐55..

The Grizzlies leads the NBA in points allowed per game (89.5)... The last time a team held its opponents to an average below 90 points per game over the course of an 82‐game regular season schedule was the 2005‐06 season, when the Grizzlies (88.5) and the San Antonio Spurs (88.8) both accomplished the feat.

I don't hate the Rockets I don't have a reason to.

Memphis up 10 right now, but it so painful to see CP360 work the refs.

It is like watching the heel tag team have one guy distract the ref while the guy in the corner works the face illegally. You think, "C'mon ref, you can't fall for that move everytime", but they do. Problematically, only one of these situations is supposed to be scripted.

Iowa with the wrestling analogy. Good win tonight too. Looks like Memphis should go 3 of 4 on this road trip.
Iowaggie
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Keeping 3rd would be big.

The difference was basically Memphis made their 3 ball tonight, the Clips didnt.

Remember when the Denver Nuggets were called the Thuggets? I'm glad they changed their name to the New York Knicks.

Up 8 going into the 4th.

Ugh Memphis not doing well in the 4th. Down by 5 with under 6 to play.

Looks like Denver will beat Memphis again.
