"That's a recipe for getting beat and we got beat," he said.

"The kid Faried tore us a new one," said Hollins.

"We didn't execute, we didn't share the basketball, we tried to do too much ourselves and it cost us," said Hollins.

Frustrating to watch because of their history of blowing 4th quarter leads.

Darrell Arthur needs to play more now, and if Zach is going miss 12 shots from within the lane, he might as well take his minutes.

Speights, QPon, and Bayless combine for 3 for 20 shooting. If I want to see crappy shooting, I'd rather have Tony Allen in there (it would be nice if he was healthy).

Zach's OT performance was as good as he's played since the Spurs playoff victory.

At Last, Grizzlies Not Waiting To Roar
Somewhat interesting article about the Grizzlies finally getting a decent start to the season.

Most interesting part is what is said about OJ Mayo:

“I tell everybody it’s been a different camaraderie, a different spirit among the team in the locker room that has helped us,” said coach Lionel Hollins.


Nobody talks about it openly, but the departure of guard O.J. Mayo has made the Grizzlies’ offense and locker room happier places. For four seasons, Mayo could never find a comfortable or effective place as a starter or reserve. He also made the locker room a cliquish place that often froze out Gay and made it tougher for Conley to be the unifying quarterback and leader.

Ugly sloppy game tonight. Last 2 losses have been on the 2nd night of back to backs, but no excuse because Atlanta played last night also.

What is it about Atlanta? Lost 10 of 12 against them...

Grizzlies laid a turd tonight vs. the Atlanta Hawks, who might be better without Joe Johnson.

Grizzlies win 3 of 4 quarters, but get destroyed 32-13 in the 3rd. Josh Smith and Lou Williams having their way.

Grizzlies look like they haven't played since October and playing their typical horrible game against the Suns.

This could be a real disappointing road trip-teams they should beat, but always play horrible against.
