There was nothing encouraging about this game for the Spurs. They wasted away two chances at winning road games by flat out not playing for 6 and a half quarters, and Pop getting the most lopsided schooling from another coach that I've ever seen.
Any of the people saying Scott Brooks should be fired if the Thunder don't win something soon are wrong. He has owned Pop since the 3rd quarter of game 2. Owned him.

Agree'd. Much like in Game 2 when they started to figure some things out. Like I said earlier, we had some HUGE missed opportunities. At least twice we had breaks that we didn't finish. The three at the buzzer that was .01 seconds late. Those are points left on the floor and it makes a difference down the stretch.
Apparently I should have put my codicil about the Spurs' margin for error having vanished in my original post.
Really, we've seen 3 hard-fought games and both teams have held serve at home. Now it's best 2 out of 3 between two great teams. No one has proven they are the better team just yet.

If you have been watching this series, OKC's best chance at winning is when those other guys do what they do, and not some much Hardin and Westbrook.
Just look at the two games won and the two games lost....
Once the streak was over, Spurs lost the aura of invincibility and OKC knows they can win and are playing with confidence. That is trouble for the Spurs and cause for concern in the series.

They have got to start calling goal tending on Ibaka. You can't just let him continue to take points off the final score. That is ridiculous. The officials are so poor at calling it, they should just make it reviewable by a courtside sub official. Stealing points from a team is stupid.
I expect an equal amount of overreaction as there was after game 2.

The goaltending thing is definitely frustrating if you're a Spurs fan. That's an incredibly tough call live I imagine, especially when they've all been as close as they've been. The one tonight was probably the closest one I've seen.
Just one of those things where if you're one of the leagues best shot blockers, you're gonna get that benefit of the doubt.

I've never seen goaltending missed at least 5 times in one series. It is beyond ridiculous.

Definitely not calling Durant's pushoffs and elbows every time Jax is guarding him.
I think you have to consider starting Jack next game in place of Green.
The goal tending calls aren't tough unless you just don't understand the rules of the NBA, which apparently isn't a requirement to referee the WCF's....
I don't know if I would bench Green to start the game. Give him one or two shots, and if he doesn't hit, pull him immediately.
I wouldn't mind seeing Blair start and Diaw come off the bench. The Spurs need Dejuan's toughness from the get go. Diaw has been hesitant on offense all series and has basically been a non-factor, just not to the extent of Green / Bonner / Splitter choking.

Spurs are getting killed on the Oboard. Blair just exacerbates that.
Bonner should not touch the floor again this series.

I havent seen any posts talking about a sweep. I think most Spurs fans here were expecting a competitive, hard fought series. The night and day performance of Games 1-2 vs 3-4 is a bit frustrating.
last time the Spurs lost 2 in a row, they then won 20 in a row #damn

As a mavs fan, I've watched Ibaka get away with goaltending going on 2 years now. They arent going to give the spurs the calls. Need manu to drive and absorb the contact, make them call the fouls.
What does being a mavs fan have anything to do with it. We all see ibaka goal tends once we all play the thunder the same times a season
I originally said Spurs in 6. I still say Spurs but looks like this is going 7!

Spurs fans talking sweep after 2-0 start? I don't think so. As for me, I was hoping for a split but after game 1, that hope all but diminished. Most posts that I remember seem to reference a 6-7 game series.
