One major difference between your Japan and Canada comparison is those leagues can never compete with the USA for money and market exposure. If serieA and other European leagues keep having financial woes the quality of MLS will continue to grow. Austin, Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, the LAs all have good environments.

Yeah man I saw a lot of folks on twitter on Sunday saying they thought he'd score there. That's the type of ball that can take a deflection and get in.

Dude, if everyone is peaking it's going to be tough to get on the roster and minutes. Such a good problem to have.

A few questions for Sept. camp:

• Pepe, Sargent, Vasquez, Wright - I'm assuming Berhalter will bring in 1 or 2 out of this group in addition to Ferreira and Pefolk
• Did Tilman and Sands do enough so far with Rangers to earn calls into camp?
• Did Ream do enough to earn another camp invite?

I'm hoping Scally gets called in as he can back up both fullback positions and is starting again for club.

Tilman has been incredible so far for rangers. He's easily been their best player.

I am curious how this camp is handled. With so little time before the World Cup after player leave their clubs in November, these games really need to be treated as warm up matches, where players who are going to be starting can work together. But in camp I think Berhalter would want to get a look at roster depth and make these decisions on players like third forward, last defender, etc.

So I think (hope) this September camp will almost be two camps in one, a camp for your top 15-16 players to get game time and work together getting ready for World Cup, and then 17-32 trying to impress Berhalter and make the final 26.

Will be interesting to watch.

Haji has scored twice so far today. That brings his tally for the season up to 5 on the season. He is really making his case for why he deserves a call up for the Sept. games.

And Pepi is starting for Augsburg today.

Pepi still looks like he has his skillset in combination play, that midfield is just dreadful.

Sargent scored again over the weekend and has 4 goals so far this season in 6 matches. He started as striker with Pukki on the bench.

Sands and Tillman both started for Rangers again.

Pepi wont make the trip to Qatar. He has underperformed on a dreadful team. Sad but his move to Augsburg is looking worse and worse by the day.

Alex Mighten joins Sheffield Wednesday on a season long loan.

Keep eyes on Dest, Pulisic and possibly McKennie to also make moves before deadline day.

McKennie has started 2 of the 3 matches for Juve so far this season, coming on as a sub in their last game. I don't see him leaving Juve, they need him and he has excelled there so far.

Dest wants to stay at Barca but Barca, specifically Xavi, doesn't want him. So we will see what happens. I feel like the reason Xavi didn't add him into the squad was to prevent injury so that Barca could sell him.

What I read this morning is that Man U and Barca are looking at a swap deal for Dest and Wan-Bissaka.

Love to see Musah with the confidence to take that shot. Awesome.
