what is everyone willing to spend for WC tix? Sounds like they'll start becoming available in June or July. I'm willing to go up to 1k a ticket for decent seats, especially if it's a good match.
I'm already priced out.

I'll be very interested to see what they do for the World Cup. In the past, FIFA has always controlled the ticket prices (at least for the initial sale) to keep them reasonably affordable for people from every nation. Each had tickets sold in dfferent categories depending on section. Category 4 was for Qatari citizens onlyzgolfz85 said:

its not like he played poorly at Chelsea, and definitely not any worse than anyone else in the attackzgolfz85 said:agreed, I just wonder how much the chelsea blip on his resume eats at him. I know it was uncontrollable and he was largely scapegoated, but still. Hopefully it doesn't eat at him that much.Aston94 said:zgolfz85 said:Where does he go from here? I think he genuinely likes playing in Milan, but also feel like he's naturally going to feel like he needs to prove himself in EPL after not being given a real chance. I'd love to see him back in the EPL, but only in a good situation.Rudyjax said:All of which has nothing to do with me.zgolfz85 said:I know you're joking, but aggievaulter or whatever his name is has invoked the race card WAY too many times on texags and you're poking the bear. the pulisic docuseries is drooling right now with all his recent heroics, will make for killer content
I tried to watch that. He's not woke enough for me.
I was joking just as I am now. The fact you can't figure that out is odd.
Anyways, viva Milan or whatever they say over there. I'm more of a Juvy guy, but have had to manufacture a new love for Milan with Pulisic....and Musah (I guess).
I didn't post anything serious on that thread.
I thought you'd get the joke, and it's obvious i love Pulisic and don't care about his political opinions.
But, he played very well again today.
Meh, if he's happy in Milan then stay in Milan.
Milan is a top 10 European club and he is a major part of that team, win trophies for Milan and bring them glory, no need to move along.
Any idea how/when the lottery works? I'm just going to put in for all Houston matches and then I'll put in for US matches and bite the travel cost bullet if I'm lucky enough to get themwangus12 said:I'll be very interested to see what they do for the World Cup. This is what they looked like in 2022 for Qatar.
Match Cat 1 Cat 2 Cat 3 Cat 4
Opening Match $618 $440 $302 $55
Group Stage $220 $165 $69 $11
Round of 16 $275 $206 $96 $19
Quarter Finals $426 $288 $206 $82
Semi Finals $956 $659 $357 $137
Third Place Match $426 $302 $206 $82
Final $1607 $1003 $604 $206
I do expect those prices to come up some just due to inflation, but these are massive stadiums to fill and they aren't gonna sell out AT&T Stadium for a match between Iceland and Nigeria. They want butts in seats and there are a lot of matches to fill.
Obviously the big issue is what does the secondary market look for the in demand matches because thats where I think it gets out of control. I do think FIFA may actually control resale as well.
The hard part is getting drawn in the lottery for tickets i think
that's why I'm going with the boys. Thankfully I have a handful of big soccer fan buddies who share the desire to decimate our wallets to godeadbq03 said:
When I was young and broke I was convinced that if the Ags ever made the NC game I'd pay whatever it took to go even though I couldn't really afford it.
Now I could afford it but I don't want to spend that much anymore.
Same is feeling true with this… when it was announced, I happily declared I was gonna go - but now… I'm not so sure. It doesn't help that amongst my family and friends there's a giant gulf between my interest in soccer and theirs, so I'm either paying money to drag my family and they won't appreciate it, or I'm selfish and go alone, but honestly sports' experiences are meant to be shared and I'm too introverted to enjoy anything with strangers.
My best chance I think is gonna be the equivalent of Iceland-Nigeria that's affordable enough to make it worth it for my friends/family who want to go for the experience. And honestly, I've found the older I get, the more I enjoy watching live sports as a neutral and just appreciating it for what it is rather than wrecking my emotions on everything that happens.
