Every year or two I'll tell myself I'll buy the next iteration of the US jersey, yet it's always terrible. The streak goes on.
I'm sure the white will look fine, once it has numbers and names in there. It's what you're just going to have to expect when the starting point is "classic white t-shirt." It's probably better than the 2014 polo shirt, although I guess its still to be seen whether Nike can pull off the impressive bright ass blue names/numbers that doesnt quite match anything like 14

Getting reps actually AT striker are how young players learn this aspect of the game. He wasnt going to learn it being stuck out wide,, basically lost a year

Rumors that Newcastle are interested in Pulisic? Apparently there was a "report" out that Tuchel has lost trust in Pulisic. Either way, he's been a sub through their first two games. Best go somewhere he can play consistently with Qatar just around the corner.

I can't imagine there's not many teams in the league that wouldn't want a young dynamic winger. And him being American is a bonus when it comes to marketing/merch dollars.

CP should do a loan deal with Man U or Everton.

They both suck so he should get a lot of playing time.

And from Chelsea's POV, Newcastle is much closer to a direct rival than United or Everton. If I'm thinking long term, I don't want to hasten Newcastle's march towards top 6 status.

I want CP to stay at Chelsea. He is made out toothpicks that are held together using a dollar store glue gun. His hamstrings will disintegrate if he plays more than 75 minutes a week. Chelsea is the best place for him to keep that injury prone body fresh and ready for the world cup. He might play for only a few minutes every match....perfect.

If he was getting something more like 25-40 in his sub appearances, and then starting matches at times, that would be a decent run-up to the World Cup for him.
He does need to be sharp and in form.

This is perfect, but his 9 minutes ain't gonna cut it.

I don't think it's fair to label guys as being injury-prone until they're in their mid to late 20's when they reach peak fitness levels. It's common for young players to overexert themselves trying to keep up with fully grown men.

Tyler Adams was a train-wreck of injuries his first couple years at Leipzig and then he was fine for the past two. Maybe CP is ready for more too.

Even if he's not, I certainly wouldn't want his first time playing a competitive match for 90' to come against Wales. I think he needs to start as much as possible. If EPL really is too intense/physical for him, I'd rather see him go back to Bundesliga and start than ride the pine in EPL.

He had a couple of hammy's but nothing recently. His injury last summer was from an ankle injury when he was Concacaf'd. He's been fine since then.

but until it's official, it's all mental masturbation.

I agree about him needing to move. He needs to be playing more and I don't see how anyone could be confident that'll happen at Chelsea. Tuchel has proven that he isn't in the plans IMO. Him playing randomly isn't in the best interest of him or the USMNT.

PAPER GOSSIP (by Adam Brown)

- Sergino Dest is feeling pressured to leave Barcelona, writes Mundo Deportivo. The 21-year-old right-back was left out of the Blaugrana's opening LaLiga clash against Rayo Vallecano amid reports that they are trying to acquire a right-back in the transfer market. The USMNT star wants to remain at the club, but has now been linked with Manchester United.

Or maybe to a good club in Italy, I think that leagues style would suit him as well. Though I think a lot of clubs in Italy are having money problems

Yeah long term, I think he could thrive there, or even in La Liga.

I picked Buli due to familiarity. Not sure I'd want him trying to learn a new language/style/etc this fall. Just not enough time to settle in. I could see him falling into the same lack of playing time in a brand new country.

I think he could get up to speed fast back in Germany. But maybe he's more adaptable than I'm giving him credit for, and he'd be fine in Italy or Spain too.

Either way, if he's not going to get playing time at Chelsea I want him to move on and honestly don't care where as long as he thinks it's a good fit for him. Like Ken said above… we can't predict the future things that might negatively impact his playing time at a new club (competition, injuries, lack of settling, etc), but it's pretty well established now that he's not going to get playing time at Chelsea. The possibility of getting more PT elsewhere means he ought to move, come what may.

Please don't go to Man U... That club is an utter train wreck and there are other clubs that Puli could start at and go at least 75 mins every game.
Dre_00
How long do you want to ignore this user?
It absolutely is a train wreck and I would discourage him from signing a permanent contract with United (unless during his loan they somehow get their **** together but...that ain't happening).

But for the short term, the train wreckiness that is United means that he has a much better chance of getting playing time than at Juve or Atleti. The talent on both of those clubs is much higher than United. If someone catches a run of form or he doesn't, he's in the same spot as he is now at Chelsea. At United, he walks in as at least the 2nd best winger from day 1.

ETH is a good coach tactically and, I think, his tactics in a number of ways mirror what Berhalter wants to do with the USMNT. United will likely get pasted in a lot of games but from a fitness/opportunity perspective there is no other club that can actually pay his wages and where he can immediately step in as unquestionably one of the best players in his position. The only other club that rates well on those parameters (oodles of money to pay his wages but a relative lack of talent in his position thereby creating little competition for him) is Newcastle.

Anybody else growing concern that our captain and probably best player can't start where he is at and yall are having to cherry pick clubs he could start at?

I wouldn't want him to go to Juve or Atleti either. I think because of the position United are in right how there will be extra scrutiny on whoever their next signing is. On top of that I dont see Pulisic walking right in and starting. I think he will be rated behind Sancho and Rashford. I think for him a better move would be Everton or Newcastle. Walks into the starting spot and will get a great number of minutes.

I have no concerns around him starting at Chelsea. His coach however is a different story. I think Tuchel the tinkerer is an idiot who chooses not to play him for dumb reasons or when he does he puts him out of position. On top of that he only gives him like a 10 min run out.

He could start in 90% of the clubs in the world and provide value in 100%.

We're not cherry picking where he can start, we're cherry picking where it would be the best option for him.

Not really concerned. Being a starter on a team with top six expectations in the toughest league in the world is a tough nut to crack and yeah, Tuchel isn't the best judge of ability out there. Plus, there's plenty of other teams lining up for his services. If he can stay healthy, he'll be fine.

Sorry, I think Juve would be a great place for him. They have a need for w left winger and he would fit their system well. I don't like the idea of him at Athletico but Juve would be really a good place for him in my opinion. They need more forward thinking players with pace, he would fit a real need for them.

I disagree with Dre's point that Juve are more talented than United at CP's position. They have a real need for him, in my opinion.

I'm not arguing that it wouldn't be a great place for him to go. I would prefer to see him stay in the EPL.

I think he could play up top partnered with Vlahovic or as a winger. Looking at how they played against Sassulo it looks like they had Di Maria up top and McKennie as a winger. If CP were added then they could put McKennie in a more natural position or even move Di Maria back and have CP take his spot up top. Either way it is an interesting destination for him to go to.

He'll get plenty of minutes at Chelsea unless Chelsea still have some hail mary passes left for good attackers that arent going to get signed by Barca and are actually better than Pulisic

He's behind Sterling, Havertz, and Mount which ain't exactly the world class all-stars. Werner is gone. Ziyech has never been favored above Pulisic even if he stays. And the idea that Broja is going to step up and take a regular forward spot is wishful thinking at best.

Sterling, Mount, and Havertz are pretty unlikely to grind out 30 matches each starting every game before the world cup. As a Chelsea fan, I'm gonna be annoyed if they let Pulisic leave and we're left with like Hudson-Odoi wasting time with those minutes and starts.

I've ALWAYS been on his side, but it is hilarious how every thought he sucked when he struggled on a couple of overmatched teams then has success and everyone thinks he's the greatest. It's hilarious.
