It might sound bad at first glance, but 5 points from a win at home + 2 draws on the road, would actually be a good start to qualifying.
Ideally we come out gangbusters and just pick up 3 wins, but that isnt generally how CONCACAF WCQ goes for any nation.

USA 6 Wins - 2 Draws - 2 Losses
Mexico 6 Wins - 1 Draw - 3 Losses
Honduras 5 Wins - 1 Draw - 4 Losses

We win 7 and draw once
Costa Rica wins 5 draws 3
Honduras wins 4 and draws 3
Mexico only wins twice and draws 5. They only make it to a playin thanks to a last second goal by Zusi in the last game.

Historically, 6 teams playing 10 games. Get 15-16 points and you qualify. (sometimes less is needed)

This year there are 8 teams playing 14 games. So probably get 21-22 points and you will qualify.

Having watched the last 2 of Qatar's games, I think we should win. I think we are definitely going to concede a gaol, and I also wouldn't be surprised if we lose.

I feel really good about Mexico having no trouble with Canada, a more raucous crowd at NRG than the Texans have ever seen, and the match only being stopped twice for a certain insensitive / discriminatory chant.

For the US in Austin, I am very nervous.

I wouldn't be at all shocked if both games are pretty close tonight. This Mexico team has some holes and the Canadians might get a goal or two on them. Qatar can be dangerous as well and we like to give gifts of our own through lackadaisical play in the midfield.

Larin and Akinola are injured and Cavallini and Vitoria are both suspended due to yellow cards. I just don't see enough firepower for Canada to win. Losing Vitoria is going to huge in terms of their defending as well.

I won't lie I think it may end up a high scoring affair. Qatar have looked good going forward throughout this tournament but in their QF they were absolute shambles for the last 30-40 mins of the game.

How 'bout our boys this summer?!! What an incredible thing to witness.

I've been watching this team for 28 years, the run up to WorldCup '94, and I don't think I'll ever stop watching this team. There's the good times, the bad times, and it's a heck of a fun ride.
