Great question, let's look at Uruguay. Currently ranked 8th in the world, which in theory should get you to the quarterfinals of the World Cup. This is a great goal for US to reach next year. Obviously, you would love to win it but to get to the quarters would get a lot of buzz generated and a lot of people excited for 2026 at home. And most likely it would be against a big boy in Soccer ala England, France, Brazil, somebody like that.aTmAg said:
How many American starters do we have in the big European leagues now? How far behind are we compared other teams that tend to get past the WC group stage?

Pretty impressive to beat England's youth team. This bodes well for the USMNT pipeline.
Hopefully we'll never suffer another "Lost Generation" fiasco.
The two goals today from 17-year-old Rodrigo Neri of Atletico Madrid's academy that helped give the US U19's a 3-0 win over Norway U19's.
