I agree with this. In FIFA I bought Boateng, Alaba, and Dybala. Seeing as how I won champions league, I think these are solid investments

I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch, but the Chelsea loss today should all but seal a top 4 finish. 13 points up on them with a big GD and 7 to play. So they have to make up basically 2 points per game played.
Even after losing to City next week, it's going to be tough for Chelsea to pass us...possible, but tough. And since 4th goes straight to the group stage next season, there really is no added incentive to finish 3rd over 4th.

It's about setting low expectations so as not to be disappointed and making it more enjoyable to watch (less anger, expectation, etc.). It's not like I won't be cheering for them or anything.
