Agree 100% with commentators that Smalling should not have been on the pitch. Would have been better to play with 10 healthy men. If you want to leave him on the field he should have been away From the goal and not assigned anyone to mark. Awful finish. Deserved the win. Couldn't finish.

Jose's comment after the game that City is winning because they spent a ton of money and that United can't win because they can't keep up is assinine. Yes City spent a ton of money the last two years. But to suggest United can't is just silly. And it's hiding the fact that not only has he spent a ton himself, he has talent here and talent to spare. They are just locked into a system that he refuses to change.
Could Lukaku's problem be just over-played? Has he had more than 1 or 2 games off? He is completely ineffective right now and does not seem to have the work-rate of others around him. Don't love the way this team is playing at times but seems like just getting him going again would do wonders...having Lingard and Mata doing all your scoring is not a great sign....
speaking of striker help, the Sun claims that Juventus have reportedly turned down a bid from Manchester United for striker Paulo Dybala. The deal was for up to 70 million plus Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
I just saw that. Can't say i have seen much of Dybala but know enough that I wish this deal would go through. Seems to be a reasonable offer. Maybe toss in Zlatan lol. I like Mkhitaryan and wish he would have worked out here but it is clear Mourinho will not be providing him much if any more time on the pitch unless injuries dictate.
