It is really a race for 2nd now. Catching citeh would take an epic collapse on their part. How epic?

MUFC currently has 56 points and trails by 13 points with 12 games to play. Assuming that MUFC wins their remaining 12 games, their point total would be 92 points (12 x 3 + 56).

citeh with 69 points needs just 23 points from their remaining 12 games to reach 92, or 1.9 points per game.

So yeah, not going to catch them this year....

City is on pace to set records for most points, most wins and most goals in a season. If things continue at this pace the most likely day to clinch would be the Derby in April.

I have no time to go back but it just seems like this team is playing completely different style than what we saw at the start of the year. Maybe it was just that teams were not ready for us with Lukaku or maybe some key guys are injured / tired but this team officially looks like they did the previous season and staying in the top 4 may be very difficult...
