Top Drawer Soccer shows Bella James as class of 22 but I think she may be class of 23. Looks like she plays on the U16 team for FCDallas. Looking at the FCDallas twitter page they had 2 players sign with Auburn, 1 with Alabama and 1 with Missouri today. Seems like a lot of players from DFW area sign out of state.

Classics Elite Soccer Club in San Antonio put out a tweet on November 22 that Taylor Jernigan has committed to us. Top Drawer Soccer has her as a 4-star forward. She is a current junior at Reagan High School.

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas Texas A&M soccer added Vanderbilt transfer Quinn Cornog to the roster as a midfielder for the 2022 campaign, head coach G Guerrieri announced Friday.

"This is a huge addition for us," Guerrieri said. "Quinn is a super player and leader who fits perfectly with our culture and style of play. It's great for A&M to have an All-SEC caliber player returning to her home state to help us compete for another championship."

Cornog, a 2021 SEC All-Freshman Team performer who arrives in Aggieland with three years of eligibility, played all 19 games for Vanderbilt as a freshman in 2021, including three starts. She logged one goal and two assists. Cornog earned Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week recognition on October 29 after scoring an 88th-minute, game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Georgia.

The Dallas native was a standout at Highland Park High School. She racked up 32 goals and 19 assists as a senior to earn First Team All-State and District 13-5A MVP. Cornog garnered United Soccer Coaches All-South Region First Team honors in 2019 and '20.

Cornog was a standout with Solar Soccer Club where she played for coaches Adrian Solca and Derek Missimo. She served as team captain of Solar SC's No. 1-ranked Development Academy U18 squad in 2020 and Development Academy national champion team in 2019. Cornog also earned national titles with Solar SC on the USYS U13 level in 2016 and ECNL U14 level in 2017. She also gained valuable experience at the US Soccer Regional Training Center from 2015-17 and the Olympique Lyonnias' Generation Adidas U.S. Select program in 2019.

Quinn Cornog's bio on the Vanderbilt website said she was Ranked as the nation's No. 22 overall player and No. 7 midfielder by TopDrawerSoccer. She was ranked 96 on this year's Top Drawer Soccer Top 100 Freshmen. Maile Hayes was at No. 83.

This is a good pickup for us because Cornog was a 5-star recruit for Vandy this year, one of the Texas kids that got away from Coach G. At least she's coming now at a critical position for A&M where we struggled badly this season. Need a few more of these type of transfers, maybe another midfielder and a forward.

There is a story with a photo on 12thman.com that all 5 newcomers are in school for the spring. The photo does not identify the players but I think from left to right they are Sydney Beccera, Georgia Leb, Quinn Cornog, Carolyn Calzada and Caroline Kniffen. Looking forward to seeing them on the field during the spring exhibition season.

I've finally updated the signing class with additions and added a section for transfers since that will be a big part of rosters in all sports going forward. Also updated the newer commitments for 2023, which is starting to take shape and on the surface looks like a good class.

The 2024 class is absolutely loaded in Texas with 6 of the Top 20 prospects in the country. Huge opportunity for Coach G when recruiting starts for this class in a few weeks. If we want to be a top program again we need to start landing our share of these elite prospects in our own state.

Yeah, this is a big pickup. Just came through today. Emma Yolinski is a 5-star midfield prospect (#18 nationally) on a loaded Solar SC club that has about 5 kids in the top 20 nationally. I'll add her to the commit list shortly. A very good start for 2024. The state of Texas is loaded with talent in 2024 so we really need to clean up in this class.

There's several 2023s missing from the commit list as well (for ex Reese Rupe and Bella James). Could you please update that list as well? Thanks!
