Elko wasn't a head coach until Duke came calling and now look what he has done in 4 years as the head man. Wiggins has been in the coaching ranks for some 20 years and he has coached both under Saban and now Elko. I trust that Elko knows what he's looking for so I'm not that worried about his decision.

Trust Elko. Even if Wiggins is a mediocre playcaller but continues the streak of WR success I trust Elko to optimize the tradeoff

All you numbskulls that want a big splash hire should go play on the politics forum. This guy knows the offense and the personnel. An outside OC would come with his own scheme and would need time to acquaint himself here. I mean sure, he could sue, but could he suck much worse that some of what we have seen this year?

I trust Elko, dude is not a stupid man. But, yes, you can suck much worse than 11-1 and a CFP birth. In fact, the odds are you at least finish marginally worse.

A lot of people were ready to run Klein off last year. He's the same guy now as he was then. Wiggins does have experience, and he has it right here where it is the most valuable, and gives us the best chance to avoid the first year frustrations that Klein's offense had.

I often wonder how some posters think coaches who are now great coordinators or head coaches got their first chance.

Weird assumption that if you haven't been a coordinator before you're destined to fail. Wiggins resume is pretty stellar. But we need something to yell at clouds about I guess.

I know this is his 1st OC job with massive play calling responsibilities. I sure hope Elko knows what he is going here and do trust in Elko.

Hopefully he adds staff to help support Wiggons and get a battle of the minds when creating these offensive schemes and calls next year.

Crossing fingers but I was expecting to get a proven OC. Hopefully he will be on everyone's list for next HC after 2 more seasons.

Looks like he coached under Saban for three years(2019-2023) and was promoted by Saban to assistant head coach of offense in addition to wide receivers coach in his last year at Alabama, then Elko hired him. With the success coaches from the Saban tree have had I think this looks like a very good hire. He may not pan out but I don't see how anyone can think he is not qualified.
