On defense is where Elko is proven. He proved that during Jimbo's years. That's why he's so trusted on defense. On offense, it's way more of a jump ball with Elko.

Very very uninspiring moves at DC, OC, and picking up former DC for Arkansas who were horrible.

Each of these guys will get at least 2 years and Elko will be on the hot seat if they don't work out.

Sometimes you just have to laugh at TexAgs. Early in the season there were many that were complaining about Klein's play calling. Now they are worried he won't be the guy calling plays in the playoff game now that a new OC has been announced.

The more I read about Wiggins, the more optimistic I become. I love that his background is as a running back. Makes me hopeful we will see a focus on the power running game.

Edit: I see you're talking about Travis Williams, former DC at Arky who we have now hired as LB coach. Seems like this guy has been an LB coach most of his career in addition to playing the position. Not concerned about this hire at all

Agreed. I didn't know much about him; searched about his time at Bama and left impressed. Play calling will be new; but he knows offense.

A lot of complaining by people who do not do their research. The highers/promotions Elko has made have been strategic. Go look at their backgrounds, success rate, oh…. And how well they recruit…

I understand BAS creates avenues to find more things to complain about, but to try and post "expert" viewpoints on idiotic takes is crazy.

Experience is overrated. He might be awesome or he might be a bust but a lot of the times if you get a guy with plenty of experience to be an OC it is because he failed somewhere along the way.

Elko going out and talking to 5 guys is not the same as hiring a professional college football search firm to find us the best QC (highest probability of leading team to a Natty).

Many college teams use professional search firms; as far as I know, we never have.... thus our 85+ years of mediocrity; year 86 has yet to be determined. One example was Michigan who used a professional search firm to get Harbaugh as their HC, who then led them to a Natty.

Calling up 5 guys you know or have heard about from someone else doesn't exactly qualify as a high quality, focused and researched search.

Some of you love talking out of your ass when a simple google search would tell you that we used Turnkey when we hired Elko. Of course, that means that same firm recommended Stoops as well.
