I really don't have an opinion of it's targeting or not, but Matt Austin said the QB was a defenseless player, and I don't get that. He was a QB standing in the pocket. He wasn't even throwing.

Under the rule, it includes "an offensive player in a passing posture with a focus downfield" as defenseless.
This was a very easy targeting call. People may hate the rule, and I get that, but this clear targeting

No way you have that same opinion if it was Ag QB. Easy call, defender clearly wanted to blow him up and even did the 'night night' symbol after the hit. He could have just taken a shot at the waist without leading with the helmet, no issue with the call or him missing the 1H of the playoff game. Undisciplined football.

I don't like it any time that penalty is called, regardless of who it is against, but especially when it is a textbook tackle and they throw the flag just because they think the hit was too hard.

I cant believe QB held that ball. QB lowered his head at last second, I think if the defender hits him in chest that ball gets knocked 10 yards back.
