Stuff like the Nix play is a result of modern day football, IMO.
Defense has him swarmed and assume he's going down....anything excessive on a QB and refs are throwing a flag

I know it worked out this time, but I love how we are at midfield with 237 left.
We seem to be in no hurry whatsoever.
We snap the ball around 200.
Am I crazy, or should we be able to go a little faster?
No, you don't want to leave the other team with enough time to score on you if you don't convert.
Lots of running game does that.rgag12 said:

Zach Evans. Did we come out ahead with Achane? or too early to tell?

Zach Evans may be Top-10 all-time on TexAgs of a HS recruit whom waaaaaaay too much message board time was spent on.

Tackling properly is an old school skill rarely taught in high school or college. That play was a symbol of that phenomenon. Clue: a man runs ONLY with his legs.
And Ainias more available for the WR corps, though quieter.Sterling82 said:gamedrunk said:

I though Achane would be more of a slot receiver with some carries out of the backfield. He and Spiller are a heck of a 1-2 punch.

How bad we want to be a playoff team will show up in this next half. One way or the other.

What football do you watch? You hit the quarterback is hard as you can before he throws the ball. Afterwards no. Simple as thatHi, Im Brett said:TexasAggie81 said:Hi, Im Brett said:

True for the initial contact...but when everyone is taught to handle the QB with kid gloves, I can see how it happened with the surrounding guys backing off instead of piling on.

Auburn has a lot of talent in the stands. (I might be old, but I haven't lost my eye for talent.)
