Tackling properly is an old school skill rarely taught in high school or college. That play was a symbol of that phenomenon. Clue: a man runs ONLY with his legs.
If the coaches don't want them to use their arms then they wont. If the coaches want them to use their arms, then they will.
Our coaches are obviously ambivalent in this area.
