The problem is obvious all right and its Kyler Murray and his traveling circus. I'm convinced had he not signed with the Ags, KA would still be here and we wouldn't be having this conversation. The guy is a cancer and I hope he leaves......Jake is a fine QB and there are plenty out there that can play and would be honored to wear the marroon and white uniform ......and the black ones too!!

That Sumlin recruits mentally fragile QBs?

Give Coach Sumlin a break. He is a was a quintessential recruiter and he will improve his decisions next time. Give him a chance! Remember this is his first HC in a big program like the Texas Ags! He will conquer this small learning curve by 2019.

This. It's a privilege, but that doesn't mean it's worth putting up with inordinate amounts of bull****. Having a job is a privilege, but that doesn't mean you stick around when your boss is a ****ing incompetent numb nuts who can't get fired.

Sumlin dropped the ball with the QB situation whether some of you want to admit it or not. And most fans really don't have a problem with a coach making certain concessions to a potential recruit as long as the mission statement never changes and that should simply be "what is best for the university and the football team in particular".

This erratic behavior that is being displayed by these two QB's is like reading the same book and chapter that everyone witnessed with Johnny. And if one removes the hype, the scandal with the autographs, the situation with law enforcement, at the end of the day, entirely to many resources were used to placate a player who managed a 11-2 record, but finished in third in the West. Only to follow that up with a 9-4 record, but a very average 4-4 in the SEC.

Since 2012 (Sumlins first year) the results have gone from respectable to very, very average. As he is the highest paid employee in the program it is only fair that he faces the highest amount of criticism. Can he turn it around? Possible, but hard to believe until the actions of the players with the most spotlight on them start acting like mature individuals, stop talking to the press and start playing with a sense of urgency

McGee is spot on. Im really tired of all the drama that Kyler has created that started even before stepping foot on campus. Its pretty obvious that he likes the attention. Commit or decommit, transfer or stay... This is ridiculous! KA leaves and Kyler is basically given this team and he cant make up his mind. I say if you have to even think about it than you should GO

While I agree with McGee in principle, that's real easy to say when your paycheck doesn't rely on it and you didn't already have another of your two "stud" QBs leave the week prior; not to mention the adverse effects it may have on recruiting other QBs/players down the road.

It should be noted that I don't mean this as support for Sumlin, as I don't really think he's given anyone a reason to support him thusfar; just that the situation is much more complicated that McGee would make it out to be.

I have to say this about any player.

While I agree with the sentiment, A&M does not recruit itself so well that we'll have enough talent to compete and win championships if we kick to the curb any kid that doesn't have a burning desire to be an Aggie and nothing else and all that rah rah sounds great stuff.

It's naive to think we need to disregarding recruiting stars in leiu of "commitment to A&M".

We have to get the talent, then we have to manage it.
