Actually thought I might get some blow-back on that.
Thanks, guys.

Why do I have the feeling that the organizer of this event is not going to sleep well tonight?
Football games are for football and school pride, not glorified public service announcements.
THIS. I am so tired of everyone trying to do everything at the football game. I am there to watch the game. QUIT DISTRACTING EVERYONE.
If you have a worthy cause and disclose enough information for everyone to know what it goes towards, simply set up donation boxes at the exits.
quote:I think that is even more of the issue. If it something I support, I want to do it. We are just left to assume this is something we all should support like sheep.
The thing about the cards is, it implies full aggie support from all the fans. What if it's not something I support?

I'll do my best to answer questions leading up to the event. The A&M logo and Lead by Example will figure prominantly in what it says. It is a pro-A&M message supporting the themes of the campaign. The video that will play just before the card stunt will provide a significant hint at what it will say. Beyond that, how about we leave a little for the surprise factor?
quote:which are.....?????
the themes of the campaign
quote:Oh, it's not going to be a disaster. People are just being so dramatic over something so silly. It's not even worth the energy to argue over this. It will be a simple stunt. It'll happen, everyone will survive and the Aggies will take the field for the 2nd half. Stop trying to look for controversy.quote:I'm a little concerned for President Young. quote:Yeah I'm going to go with I don't believe in blindly supporting causes I'm not very well aware of. At least when some slimy telemarketer calls me I know what he's trying to sell me. You won't even tell me what you're trying to sell. Just telling me to flip my card because I should trust you. Because it's allegedly pro-A&M and therefore it must be good for me as well.

quote:Literally,everyone. Dumb slogan.
"If not us, then who?"
quote:If that's true, just ****ing wow.
Have it on good authority that the card stunt is going to cost north of 100K.
quote:oh god, someone thinks this is a good ****ing idea. Please don't hold up your card and contribute to their bull****.
quote:Exactly. A bunch of people who couldn't give a **** about football calling shots like this for football games.
"IF NOT US THEN WHO" and cut to ALABAMA going into the playoffs.
