The funny thing about Middle Tennessee's votes is that they were a result of a small coding error in FSU's script. FSU's script generated hundreds of thousands of votes, 33% of those votes went to Middle Tennessee, accidentally.
I'd elaborate more but I only have 4 more posts left today, so I have to make them count.
Is that supposed to be serious? I think I'll relay that statement and see if I get a response. Should I spend a precious post here if I do?

We lost a poll to Bama that way; the power of Texags has never been the same.
You must be talking about the ESPN Helmet Clash in 2008. I went back through some old email traffic (memory's not that good) after your post reminded me of it. Not trying to rub salt in the wound, your contest against Alabama was the birth of "BamaVoter" which is probably responsible for taking these contests to a whole new level. I know it's that contest that got our guys started and Texas also had one before it was all said and done.
Since this contest was not a round-by-round tournament, but a voting free for all, it was interesting to see with one glance who all came up with voting scripts. Us, you guys, MTSU, NC State, Nebraska, N. Carolina, and probably Missouri at a minimum, and if the contest wouldn't have been halted I think there would have been more (Texas, Michigan, Bama have done them before)
I really can't believe ESPN is caught off guard by something like this. Were they really naive enough to think this wouldn't happen? It's college football fans afterall! I have to think that's what's taking so long to restart this contest, assuming they do. I think they're trying to script-proof it, something they should've done before they ever started.
This Nole fan (and I suspect most others) agree with some of you in that, win or lose, we'd prefer these contests to be fair. We don't start these bot wars. However, if they truly limited voting to one per person, I think you guys would have to be the favorites based on the enthusiasm I see on your board.
