I wonder whether that was a Middle Tennessee person that did that, or one of the smartasses at NCS or FSU doing it as a joke. It looked a lot like it was tracking the same as the FSU site, just got a later start.

We went from up 152k to 149k on the last night to 750k to 371k 12 hours later. Good times.
BTW - Planters paid our AD $5,000 or whatever the prize was for winning that poll even though they took it down early because of obvious manipulation.

Well we can't do that until they bring the site back up. They have so many bad submissions to sort through that they would be better off scrapping it and starting over.

What was the last known score?
Florida State was over a million in first place. We were in 5th behind them, Middle Tennessee, NC State, and Nebraska. We had around 500k.
Tried to chat up the TWW people and thank them for the laughs, but joining their site costs money.

Good find. Would have been funnier if they just came out and said everyone was hacking.
If they can figure out how to make it Facebook only, we'd have a great chance at the win.
making it facebook-only is actually really easy at this point. All they have to do is ACTUALLY disable the email portion of it instead of removing it from their page.
I wonder if they'll start over completely or just try to figure out how many votes were genuine. I'd scrap it and extend the deadline a day, but they may want to punish us a bit more.

Bio, that's assuming they weren't just using fake emails manually. Just because they weren't using a script doesn't mean they were legit. I suppose we'll learn more once the site is back up.

Your posts on this matter seemed believable. NCST seemed to go up in very quick spurts and then abruptly stop on what seemed to be a targeted number (such as ~650K, ~700K), just as you described. So any idea what happened? Did your guys sleep in this morning?
The group I know of (2 guys) got it to 600k and can add 10k in less than a minute. I think they're done for the night at 630k. Take the night to catch up, and its game back on in the morning

@stark: While not completely impossible (due to ESPN's gaping hole), it's highly unlikely this was ever the case... There are just easier ways to go about it. Besides, if ESPN has shut the door on the auto-voting via javascript, it would have killed this, too.
