Does anyone still sell the Bear Bryant - style Block T hats? I thought I remember seeing them for sale a couple of years ago, but haven't had any luck finding one as of late.
I saw this at the Astros game over the weekend. Maroon hat with "T" - it said "Texas A&M" on the back in small letters. It looked like a Texas Rangers T to me.
We need to go back to the shoulder sleeve logo the baseball team used in the 80s and 90s. That was a powerful symbol of Texas A&M. I prefer white aTm on maroon Texas, but the reverse looks good, too.
Block T
No offense to those of you who worked on the others, but they just don't do it. They look too busy or gawdy.
And to hell with that damn beveled T and the T-star. They suck.

Here is an A&M logo based on a historic Republic of Texas flag...powerbelly51 designed this one.
The aTm logo doesn't have to fit entirely inside the silhouette of Texas. Here is an example where the aTm extends beyond the borders of the state outline. The aTm logo could be even larger than in this example.
I'm in the camp with taking advantage of being the lone team from the lone star. Another option is to develop a NEW logo. Blocks and block letters were 60 years ago. I think we should come up with something fresh. Put that marketing mind of yours to work Old Main!
I think the bevel T was an attempt at "fresh". I just don't like it. To me the block aTm is simple, collegiate, and traditional. When you combine it with the state silhouette it makes a powerful logo. This one is my favorite...

Small A and Small M doesn't work for me....

Here is a version with the larger A and M with the smaller A and M below it.
The most important thing is to market Texas more since Texas A&M will be the only Texas school in the State of Texas. I think most of us are tired of the bevel T logos and some of the other things we have been seeing the past few years.

I have this hat and on a recent trip to Vegas, many people confused it with Temple. That's why I prefer Texas Aggies. Still wish I had my AMC hat that I lost deep sea fishing.
