I don't anticipate the live rides will get that feature as the teachers aren't always 100% on script. If you'll notice, 10 seconds for some instructors is more like 3 for some and 15 for others, depending on how ahead or behind they get.

To answer the general question, they do updates quite a bit to improve the experience. Some are more noticeable than others, but I see the software update notification every couple weeks when I start my rides.
As somebody taking spinning classes, that was one of my biggest pet peeves with some instructors..."Okay, 30 seconds all out! Lets go!". 45 seconds later "Only 10 more seconds to go!". As a spinning instructor now, it is something I still struggle with at times. You have so much to focus on...trying to talk enough to keep people's minds occupied and not focused on their suffering, without being Jess King and talking too much...trying to make sure you are on time with the music and the profile...watching the class to make sure there is not somebody struggling or doing something dangerous that could get them hurt...etc. Trying to keep track of all of it at the same time was the biggest challenge for me when I first started teaching classes. Having ADD hasn't made it any easier.

I like anything with longer power intervals. So PZ or PZE with longer blocks works better for me...especially because I can get lost in the pain cave and let my mind wander for a while without worrying about missing the cues for a change. Not really as big a fan of PZ Max or short HIIT classes, but I know I need to do some of them to work on my heart rate recovery.

Also, this is why I really like the challenges. While that is probably a bit agressive, I feel a sense of accountability to the team. I can definitively say I ride more consistently during the challenge. Helps get me started on the days I really would rather be eating ice cream.


Same. By myself, I was doing 3, maaaaybe 4 rides per week. I don't want to be the weak link on the team, so I push to do all 7 rides regularly now. Hard af, but I'm really enjoying it.

Just found this thread - have been very unmotivated the past month to get on the bike but joined the group and looking forward to getting back at it. Need a big push in Oct to get to my 2020 weight loss goal & looking forward to seeing you guys on there!

This thread needed a bump

Did anyone who has taken Wilpers 60 min PZ ride from 06/17/20, think it sucked utter ass? Those last two 2 minute Z5 efforts were awful.

I recently broke my toe. Gonna try to get on and do a low impact ride later today to see how it feels.

Weirdly the second set of Z5 didn't seem as bad to me as the first set. Maybe the first one was just a shock to the system and by the second one I was used to it? No matter what, that ride was a tough grind.

Yes, that ride absolutely sucked. The 30-second "recoveries" between the two Z5s might as well have not been there. It felt like as soon as I had dialed down to recover I was turning right back up to die more.

Before we were forced to start working from home I had no problem getting up and working out before making the drive into work but whatever reason now, I can't force myself to wake up and hop on the bike. Now I usually break up my work day with a ride, or ride right after I get done working for the day. When I first got the bike in the middle of the summer I was on the bike every other day as I went thru the the Discover Your Power Zones program but now that I'm getting in better shape I'll usually hop on the bike for a quick 15 minute ride to warm up before I my heavy bag sessions on my non cardio days. I've found I get a lot more out of boxing if I use the bike for a quick warm up ride.

Just a data point for you. I'm taking the Kendall classic rock class this morning and it had the cues added 3 hours after the live class. Seems like they're a lot quicker now.

Any of you have the Tread+? We're debating getting one, but the price is just so high.

We've had the Bike since 2017 and love it, but would also like the ability to run/walk in the evenings, after the kid is down to sleep.

Who was it that got the shoutout from Olivia for their 800th on the 45 minute rock ride from Friday? Heard her say something about "Texags".

Also, that ride was so insanely hard. Got a new personal best on 45 min even with like 8 minutes of arms.

I've had it just over a year and I love it. Slat belt feels amazing. It is expensive but if you run on the treadmill a lot, it's damn nice.

The tread+ doesn't come out until early next year. My understanding is they are getting away from the slat belts to go with a more traditional treadmill design.

Or have a misunderstood? It seems like they are taking orders on the website, but I could have swore I read the redesigned bike a tread were our early 2021.

Yeah the old Tread (slat) is now Tread + (slat) and the newer cheaper one is the Tread (non-slat) now. Weird naming change.

So far so good in October - making a final push for my 2020 health & fitness goals.

5 day streak on the bike, 36 hours since my last smoke, and PR on 20 min ride tonight.

Going a little (or more than a little) crazy but so far I'm able to channel that into working out.

I wasn't paying attention at first. At first I was pissed at Matt's ride profile...that PZ Max was RIDICULOUS lol. Every segment he described, my brain was like, "ya f***** serious, Jawja boy?"

Then I saw the sip and I was like "oh HELL naw!"
