If you're a roadie, I'd suggest Wilpers as he's the least spin-classy.

And Christine d'ercole. Her motivational stuff can get slightly cheesy, but she's a national champion track cyclist.
Officially signed up for this. Looking forward to it!Nitro Power said:
There is another power zone challenge coming up (starts late August) that I encourage all to try who haven't. Might work for you , might not but it is motivating.

Would y'all recommend the peloton over a membership to a place like cyclebar? The wife and I both work from home and live about 30 mins from a cyclebar. After doing the math for a membership for both of us + plus driving to the place, seems like buying a peloton is the easy answer. Just looking for more input from others since I only know 1 other person with a peloton.

I'm new to having one, just 4 weeks, but the convenience of an instructor led workout from home is the selling point for me with my busy schedule. Between work, errands, and taking care of a good sized piece of property, any commute cuts into my schedule. I've worked out more since I got the Peloton than I have since getting out of the Army 15 years ago. Already lost 10 lbs, and already improving my fitness level. My only regret was not getting it earlierfooz said:

This. This. This. I actually find myself getting hyped about certain rides when I check the schedule and I look forward to my time on the bike. Plus it beats wondering through the gym aimlessly. I get a good lift in and pre-load my class for the day, then attack. I have dropped at least 10 pounds since the beginning of July and I have improved my strength/energy tremendously in a short period of time.Ag_SGT said:I'm new to having one, just 4 weeks, but the convenience of an instructor led workout from home is the selling point for me with my busy schedule. Thanks for the tips!XpressAg09 said:
Alex Touissant had a 30 minute Tabata Ride in the couple of days.
First ride should probably be a 'Beginner Ride' so you get used to the call outs, especially with the resistance numbers.
Just finished this ride. Holy crap, it was like a spiritual experience. I think I left my body for a little while. That was well done!bthotugigem05 said:
Man that Prince ride was fantastic!
looking for the quick answer... no way to go through 50 pages :-)XpressAg09 said:
50 pages into a "I just got a peloton" thread and you should have your answer.

It's 50 pages long.
There is no Wahoo thread.
There's your answer.

maybe... but i figured that there would be some serious athletes that might provide a better answer instead of sheep
damn... does that mean that i need to do a year long video journal?XpressAg09 said:
Just buy the Peloton already.
Honestly, if all you want is a bike that you can hop on indoors and do prestructured workouts as part of a training plan for an event, a Wahoo and zwift will do fine and be a lot cheaper. If you want to race against others doing digital doping, get a Wahoo and zwift. But if you want a wide variety of workouts on and off the bike, a large community of folks to ride and challenge yourself with, and like the motivation of having an instructor giving you cues, peloton really can't be beat and it is worth the extra money.Ag92NGranbury said:
