I'm on week 3 day 4. I'm Having the same issue FB. I'm walking faster than I'm 'running'.

I may get a GPS watch. Would it be able to track the difference in running and walking? Or maybe I would have to hit an interval button every time I switched to run/walk?

What app do you use? I use the free C25K app by zen labs.

But I also use MapMyRun in the background to keep track of my distance and split paces.

Mine says powered by active. I downloaded the zen labs one. Does it track your splits of running and walking?

It baffles me that in 8 weeks I'm going to be running 3 miles without stopping.

No, no tracking that I know of. Which is why I have MapMyRun going simultaneously.

RunDouble has a C25k feature and will show you a graph of your pace. It's not free, but cheap!

W1D3 done. Did mapmyrun behind the app today. Just wish it would do the splits for me.

What's it not doing that you want it to do? Your distance and pace for each running section?

If you go to www.mapmyrun.com and sign in you can see a timeline graph that shows your pace over the whole course of the workout. You can see the spikes where you are running vs walking, but it doesnt tell you how far you ran other than the grand total. If you pay for mvp there may be additional features but I don't have it so I'm not sure.

Good deal. Thanks guys. My active c25k app breaks down speed and distance during the walk and the run, as well as overall. But unfortunately it is not calculating correctly.

I've had the same issue. How much does it matter really though? I just take my total time at the end (ex: 19:33), convert it to a 10 base decimal (so, round to 19.5), and divide it by the total number of miles I ran. That gives me my overall minutes per mile. I expect it to improve with each workout, and if it doesnt, I adjust my pace accordingly.

I'm in Burleson. Lots this summer and fall Finc. I even thought about doing the Rahr Octoberfest one. A 5k with beer after? Sign me up. I think it's on an off week too.

I just signed up for a 5K on June 8th. I'm not scheduled to be finished with the program by then, but hopefully I will be good enough.

Ok folks. I finally got to the doctor about my knee. It appears my meniscus is torn. I need an MRI and likely surgery to fix it. What am I in for?

Yup! I made it. The first half felt pretty good, then I had to turn around and run into the ridiculous wind we had today here in Ft Worth.

Well Week 6 Day 1 is done, but man was that a terrible idea. Wasn't as ready as I thought. But at least this time it was my legs slowing me down and not my lungs. Icing down now.

W2D3 done. There is a lot if times I want to run on an off day but feel my shins need the rest. I can't wait until I can run without any pain at all.
