Telare...I definitely recommend walking, I was in the same place after week 2 and I tried to push through it...that just made things worse, so I committed to walking 3 mi per day, 5 days a week for two weeks, the I restarted week 2 and it went A LOT better.

W1D1 done today. Shins began to hurt towards the end of the workout. As I go on and drop some weight (hopefully) maybe it will help. I might need to grab a new pair of shoes as well.

I feel like I could run for a lot longer if it wasn't for the shins.

I'm gonna have to restart this at some point.

Traveling 4 days/wk for the last 2 weeks (and the next 6 weeks) isn't really allowing me to keep up with the program.

I'm in the same boat. I'm still going to the gym to do cardio 4-5 days a week, just can't get motivated to run. Maybe I'll be back after I get a little more weight off and need a new challenge.

I did W1D1 today! It did feel nice to do something other than sit around watching TV. Also, what does week 0 consist of? The program I'm using starts at week 1.

We went down to the valley to see family last week (higher heat and humidity than I'm used to) so I just did W6D1 every other day. I did W6D2 for the second time yesterday, I plan to attempt W6D3 Saturday after repeating W6D2 one more time tomorrow.

On the advice of some coworkers I started cross training by swimming yesterday...it was good and I could definitely feel some muscles being worked out that aren't with running.

Today I ran the W6D2 for the fourth time...I wanted to try W6D3 but said muscles in my calf started tightening up. Instead I just pushed the same time intervals for the full 5k. Finished at 46:32. Not happy with it...but for (as my wife calls me) 330 pounds of "big boy" I guess it wasn't bad...on to week 7 on Monday.

Man I've been slacking. Started an internship at Auburn on the 11th and have been working 15 hour days so I've been wiped. I have been doin some running off plan just to keep moving but today jumped on W6D2 and rocked the 20 min run. I'm having problems adjusting to the crazy hills here as opposed to the flat runs of cs but I'm getting better!

2 mile run at 26:24 today. Having a little trouble getting the full 2 miles without stopping, but working at it.

5 min warm up
15 minute run
2 minute walk
4 minute run

Signed up with 3 co-workers to run the San Antonio Carrabbas relay half marathon on June 16th, my leg will be 3.06 miles...gonna keep working hard until then.

W2D3 done today. Wish I could get on a M/W/F pattern, but something always gets in the way.

I have been pushing the jogs up to 6.0 speed and I am getting pretty winded, but the shins don't hurt as bad. Hope this gets easier soon, really want to stick with it.

I'll throw my $0.02 in here. I started C25K back in late March. My daughter had been doing the Girls on the Run program, which culminated in a 5K in late April. Of course, Dad had to do the run, too. For the first few weeks, my running schedule was directly proportional to my infant son's sleep schedule -- when he slept, I ran and when he didn't sleep, I didn't run. I did the 5K, but I was only on week 2 or 3 at that point. Once the sleeping settled down some, I was able to get into a rhythm of running 3 times a week.

I am currently through Week 8 Day 2. I was able to complete the Komen 5K in Plano last weekend in 31:27, running the whole way. I've had an absolute blast doing this program. I never thought I'd be able to run for 30+ minutes at a time.

Checking in after the relay. My running app crapped out on me after the first mile, so I had no clue how to judge when to walk and when to run. I felt like I walked the whole thing, but they posted the official times today and I ran a personal best. I'm gonna keep working at running the full 5k without stopping during the next couple of weeks and then start a 10k program for a race this fall.

My long term pipe dream is a half marathon next spring and maybe even a full in a year and a half. We'll see how it goes.

Have actually been trying to do this on my own. Trying to just get to running 2 miles nonstop. Getting frustrated, so I decided to try this. W1D1 - 2.17 miles in 28:35. Think I was stuck a little beyond this, but just didn't quite know how to push through to the next level.

Hoping I get there soon!
