BOI here...love it. Had to leave it for a while to really appreicate it, still living in CS, but love to go back and visit.

I think me and the rib will drive down and have breakfast at The Original tomorrow...

Since this thread is back up, I guess I will post again. My story is a lot like what turtle said. BOI myself, left the island, and still living in College Station. I would love to move back someday and most likely will, just not anytime soon. As turtle said, I have come to appreciate the island a lot more now that I have moved from it. Guess it is time for another trip. Thankfully I have family there so I can visit as often as I like.

I gonna miss all the oak trees

I hear ya. It's sad enough driving down the seawall with no Balinese and Broadway without most of the oaks will be even worse.

Give it some time, the trees will be back. I was one street off of Broadway last week and many of the oaks were sprouting green.

I noticed a bunch of the trees on Broadway with some green leaves too but then that very day I read in the Daily News that a tree expert said they won't come back. I don't get it.
