Is the city planning to ever clean up or mow again?

I've seen some comments very similar to what i've been dealing with going on here - and some love for Westinghouse, but I have to disagree, lol.
I bought a Westinghouse 13k tri-fuel generator a month or so ago. Had the breaker lockout and power inlet installed by my panel, and a quick connect added to the gas meter (on the other side of the house). The unit will NOT run on natural gas. I had the plumber back out with his supervisor (last week - before the storm), who confirmed it is getting the required amount of gas per Westinghouse's specs (that you have to call to get, as they aren't published anywhere). Still wouldn't work. Thought the 3/4" 50' hose wasn't supplying enough btus (WC and PSI checked out), but Westinghouse wont even give you a btu requirement. Plumbed it directly into the meter behind a regulator at the specified WC through the 1/2" hose that came in the box - nope. Has a small engine repair guy out to check it - couldn't make it work.
Have been running on propane - and that works great, but a bottle is only lasting about 3 hours. Its getting real expensive, plus hard to source propane.
Have had a case open with Westinghouse since last week, well before the storm. Have called back everyday this week. They keep saying they will escalate my case and get back with me, but they don't.
I would avoid Westinghouse products. Also be careful relying on a long gas line.

An update on this generator for anyone considering the Westinghouse:
Westinghouse got back to me about a week after we got power back and said the spark plug it shipped with may not be hot enough and to try a hotter plug. Swapped the plug and it runs fine on nat gas, even on the 50' 3/4" hose. My current setup is a 50' hose from the meter before any regulators, and then a regulator sized to the max specs of the generator on the end of the hose just before it plugs into the generator.
Very happy with the setup NOW, but it would have been great to have had it running before the storm. Part of that is on me for not giving myself enough time to get ready, but a big part is on Westinghouse for shipping a tri-fuel product that wouldn't work out of the box and took a LOT of time and back and forth to get it diagnosed. They did offer to pay for the new spark plug, lol (although they haven't yet).
y'all use bags? I just throw it directly in the trash bin.Furlock Bones said:
The waste service has been abysmal. They aren't picking up bagged yard waste. The damn green bags just fall apart after a week in the open. If I have to rebag again, it's all going in the regular trash as they can F right off.

I'm just imaging the scene from parks and rec where the guy is throwing his trash into the pit and waves at his neighbor also throwing his trash into the pit.

Yeah, mostly, but not always. Ike came in over the Turks and Caicos and across Florida on the way to Houston.Cepe said:
Lived in PR for a while. A good rule of thumb is that by the time it gets to PR if it is level or above PR the Texas coast is safe. Obviously not always but that's how I watch these storms.
