Went back and looked at some old messages. I think this will be a new record for a continuous outage in my hood.
Freeze was right at 40 hours (we suffered extra because Centerpoint forgot to flip our circuit or some BS like that).
Storm last June was 46 hours.
We are at 36 now, but I doubt power is back on by tomorrow morning. 9 am will be 48 hours.
19 days for Ike.
5 days for the direcho.
If you're measuring in hours, it's not worth tracking.

What map do we click?
I really don't understand the order they're working. We got power this morning but most people directly east of us and directly north of us still have not.ttha_aggie_09 said:Also in 77494 and we're still running off Generator. Cinco/Spring Green area has power but we do not. Hoping that changes soon…Cinco Ranch Aggie said:
Got home from the office to find … no power. 77494.
But at least I got some AC and was able to charge one of my power bricks.

More difficult repairs due to more damage?

Fact that direcho resulted in 5 days outage is comical enough. That storm was a typical May gully washer in DFW when I was a kid.

No it wasn't. That storm had 110 mph straight line winds in places. That's equivalent to a cat 3.

I know it's petty but is XFinity still going in and out for anyone else? The app/assistant indicated outage earlier but now just tells me to unplug and plug back in every time it goes out.
Yep, been in and out for us all eveningWilliam Foster said:

Still no power in 77386. I don't expect it back anytime soon. This is miserable.

77581 in Pearland. Several neighborhoods around us have power, including the fire station right down the road, but no dice yet.

At least according to Centerpoint, we're in the list for "Circuits Assigned for Repair." Whatever TF that means. I'm not holding my breath for anything before Thursday at the earliest.
Utility crews staged this morning in Southeast Texas and I’m told they’re still waiting for direction from @CenterPoint.

The CP spox said earlier they’re still in the damage assessment phase of response.

Yes, but I'm not seeing lines, poles, and transformers on the ground like I did with the Derecho.
