Is any forecast suggesting this? Haven't seen it if so. Everything so far has been that it hasn't intensified as rapidly as it could have.

Rain slacked off so I took the dogs for a quick walk. We did not make it back in time before the next round of showers. Oh well they enjoyed their walk.

Spotted a nutria in one of the ponds.

Can anyone recommend a good weather radio? Or anyone have experience with Midland walkie talkie/weather radios? My Reecom isn't receiving alerts anymore and not picking up the weather stations.

It's the latest run of one of several dedicated hurricane models. This one has been pretty accurate on strength with Beryl. Shows a weak cat 2 at landfall.

Assume that was meant for today? I just landed on united at IAH at 4pm and plenty of planes lined up to take off before the next band hit.

Eta: Just noticed was UNTIL 1630 tomorrow, I read it as today. Good luck getting home! We were lucky I think.

The latest in-flight pass by NOAA3 was around 985 to 988 mb. AF306 just took off to head to the storm.
