He was attempting to have a commissioner come up and give an update, and Lina stepped in to say there was an approved speaker list she gets to decide who talks and she wants to give an update in spanish. Mayor responded that he was glad he made the approved list. Lina replied "this is a disater and this is not the time".

Not sure if she was referring to the weather as a disaster or her role in the presser.

No, it wasn't a good look for either of them. But this isn't the first time she has pulled this type of stuff and attempted to correct a peer in a public forum. She has done it several times in commissioner's court, and it comes across terribly each time it happens.

Lots of women her age think that standing up to a man like that when they are corrected shows that they are strong powerful women, but it really just shows not only are you wrong, but you are not willing to admit it and come across as childish.

I know it was just a minor mistake, but I thought it was funny that she continued to use the word county in her part of the tantrum when she meant to say precinct.

All 4 counties were affected and we are not going to give preferential treatment to one county. When one county is affected, we deal with one county, but when all 4 counties are affected we deal with them all.
