Only gulf coast impact was that one that hit in central Florida, right? I'd say this is a 2. Bermuda and Maine/Newfie got it worse than we did.

South Texas had a little rain maker with that TS or depression that rolled through and Florida got hit by cat 3. Rest was quiet. I'd say 2.

It's like the mosquito bomb has exploded in certain areas. Brazoria County its so bad, you can't drive in certain areas after dark without hitting 1000s of them. I opened the garage to work on my car earlier and was completely swarmed

We haven't really had mosquitos all summer, but I walked in the backyard this week and they were AWFUL. Amazing how quickly they rebound after a little rain.

Left Clifton, TX this morning and it was 48, windy, and wet. Got to Houston about 2:30 and it was 89, humid, and partly cloudy. Crazy Texas weather!

I was just thinking earlier today that I need to start watering again. For some reason, I was much more diligent about it when we were restricted to 2 days. And I haven't noticed my neighbors watering at night anymore either since the drought technically ended. That old reverse child psychology bit really works.

Holy crap! Surprised they didn't postpone the shutdown given this event was on the models for over a week now.

The NWS does refer you to alternate radar sources but the Doppler apps use that radar site exclusively for app data in this area.
