I got 2 extra GA tickets for the greatest show to come to Houston since the last time they played here. These are online PDFs so I can send you the two via email or you can meet me there and walk in with me to confirm they're good. I'll need a face value deposit for latter so I'm not stuck if you bail.

$150?!?!?

Hard pass

And yes...As other have noted it seems like a fair market price for that ticket but damn that's an expensive ticket.

Turnpike is great, and I can't wait to see them again, but they aren't $150/ticket great.

I'm sure it's fair market or better; I meant sincerely that I didn't think drumboy would screw anyone over here.

Concert ticket prices have gone crazier than normal. Perhaps the tour production companies have caught up to what the aftermarket value is for these shows, but I am having a hard time justifying going to shows these days. It's $175 plus fees for the cheap seats to see My Chemical Romance. My wife wanted to see them until I told her the price and she said HELL NO to that. If the venues are filling up at those price, then props to everyone involved.

I think most of it has to do with people missing out on live music for the last two years so they're willing to pay the higher prices.

People willing to pay and artists and production companies making up for lost money has created the perfect storm for crazy high prices.

Cheapest I see on Stubhub is $180 plus fees and cheapest on OfferUp is $170. I thought my price was fair.

I miss being able to see them for $25 at the Crosby Rodeo or Firehouse.

I saw Jason Isbell at Luck for $60 a ticket and am seeing Billy Strings tonight for $45. I've seen Turnpike before, they're good but they aren't $150 good.

I saw The Mavericks at the Arena Theater for $40 a piece on April 9th. Fantastic show, up close. That was worth it and I would've paid more. I enjoy some of Turnpike's music, but the whole Americana/neckbeard scene is just drawing a ticket demand that outpaces my enthusiasm at the moment. Saw the Drive-By-Truckers at Rudyard's once with hardly anyone in attendance; I can't imagine what it would cost to see them that close and intimate today.

GA for Isbell's show in June at 713 is going for $95 face value. That's borderline on whether that worth it. I could pass but I imagine the wife is gonna want to go.

We just saw Reckless Kelly and Old 97s at 713 a couple weeks ago for like $45.

So not everything is crazy but I understand higher than normal prices.

damn, didn't know they were that popular.

My wife bought us tickets to some concert at HOB tomorrow night that seemed pricey to me, but a heck of a lot cheaper than these (obviously probably not as good of an act, either).

Old 97's are another example of band that I think really puts on a good show and are usually worth the cost of going.

Jason Isbell is good, a little annoying with woke white guilt.

Y'all should see price is tickets for Turnpike at Red Rocks.

They're coming to Houston soon right? I saw a song swap with Evan & Rhett Miller at Heights Theater a few years ago. I really like that venue.

Just looked and face value for Isbell GA is $49.50, although after all the taxes and fees, it's probably close to $95

I'm in DFW for the next few days and seeing Turnpike tonight at Billy Bob's. I was able to buy two "premium pit" tickets from someone for $110/each (they are $170 face and going for way more on stubhub). As others mentioned, tickets prices now are ridiculous. But there are 3 shows at Billy Bob's this weekend, vs the one in Houston so Houston prices are going to be even higher.

I never expected Turnpike to get back together so I'm willing to pay $110/ticket to see them once again, but don't see myself ever doing it again for them. I'd expect their prices to come down in the future once they play more. This is their unexpected comeback tour.

I don't know but like I said we saw them a couple weeks ago with RK opening at 713 and yes it was an awesome show. Some we were with had no knowledge of Old 97s and even they had a good time and enjoyed it.

For anyone who hasn't been 713 is a fantastic venue. Drink prices a little steep but the setup is nice, sound is great, little to no bar lines.

Just an all around great venue.

I'm partly pissed at myself for not going over to White Oak for the presale. I was helping my parents w/ something in a different part of town and didn't think I'd make it. Then read comments on the Entertainment Board that made me realize I would have had plenty of time. Oh well. Sell them for whatever you can get and don't worry about a fair price for fellow Texaggers; it's already passed what I'm willing to pay so make your money.

Agreed on 713. Went to Whiskey Myers there back in the fall. Great place to see a show. Drinks weren't cheap, they really aren't anywhere, but better than HOB or the woodlands

I'll have to start watching 713 for shows. Don't live itl anymore, so I'm a little out of the loop (wink wink nudge nudge) these days. In contrast, the Rustic in Eado has a great setup but terrible bar service.

Saw Jimmy Eat World there a few weeks ago and it quickly became my favorite venue in town.

shocking that one of the most universally popular "alt-country" bands out there, that disappeared for a couple years right as they were peaking, is a hotter ticket than the Old 97's and Mavericks.

You've scored a valuable point in the argument against personal preference. Kudos to you, my hip friend.

I'm hardly hip...and won't be spending this kind of money on a show, but I'm not surprised by these prices.

People are spending $400 to see Ryan Bingham

I paid $272 for a pair of 2nd row seats at Red Rocks, no way I would spend $300 for GAs at WOMH

I agree; I encouraged drumboy to get whatever he can for the tickets.

But the Mavericks at the Arena really was a great show; don't mock that.

If you are talking about St Paul and the Broken Bones these guys are awesome and have some good jammers. Check this one out.

Have the big outdoor shows at WOMH gotten better in the last few years? Oddly enough the last time I was at one was Turnpike a few years ago and I swore I'd never go to another outdoor show there again. It was way oversold and they hadn't figured out their beer/liquor lines yet so every line was for all types of drinks and just made it a slow moving cluster. I would hope they've figured it out, but is it still a mess? Has the sound gotten better?
