Imagine that, where they belong.

It's a stupid idea, a waste of money, and going to be an inconvenience. Ultimately, the real concern is that uptick in traffic on the crossroads and 10th/12th where there is far more foot traffic/ residential area. I saw a car booking it down 10th at 40mph and just blow through a stop sign a couple days ago. (I'm sure they had no idea it was there)

He's not talking about the idiotic road project.
Sidewalks are tiny in that area, disjointed, and sometimes non-existent. Even running on roads other than 11th it's better to just run on the streets.Sea Speed said:CDUB98 said:

I think riding bikes on the sidewalk would be preferable to this Charlie foxtrot
Combining bike lanes and potholes. I used to do a Sat morning group bike ride. One spot on our route had a giant pothole that never got fixed. One of our riders went out there one night with a sack of quikrete and solved the problem himself! Much better after he was done.Irish 2.0 said:
It is truly amazing how quickly they can do these bike lanes, but they still can't fix the potholes that could swallow a ****ing VW bug...

Putting down the median at 11th and Yale. It stretches slightly passed Allston. I can no turn turn left (East) onto 11th leaving my house. I have to either go to Rutland or Yale to turn East. Nice job ****tards

Dodging potholes while doing 24 mph on a bike is half the fun.

Maybe the atrocity of this bike lane will make people question voting for the idiot city leaders they vote for.
I wasn't aware it had changed. My understanding is there will still be medians at Lawrence and Nicholson, which tracks with the original plan of every other street being blocked.Chewy said:
I believe it's just Dorothy and Allston that will be blocked. Herkimer might have something with the pedestrian island but I can't remember.
The original plan was to run a median all the way down 11th with some streets open but they fortunately scrapped that idea leaving most of it open with no median.
a couple of rumble strips for cars approaching that crossing wouldn't hurt eitherIrish 2.0 said:
Does that mean they'll finally put a pedestrian crossing sign/light on Nicholson and 11th?
Damn near been run over at least a dozen times in the last four ****ing years because *******s whip around the car that actually stopped to allow someone to cross.
LOL ... Yes, they are putting the pedestrian crossing in ...Irish 2.0 said:

Ah, there are indeed some changes.Chewy said:
This presentation from August shows what I believe are the final plans. Page 9 shows the plans from Shepherd to Yale.

Was thinking of you as I used Rutland to avoid the backed up traffic.Quote:
Stay off Rutland. TIA broskie.
But ... but ... but ... they promised us that wouldn't happen ...Martin Q. Blank said:
There's plenty of neighborhood streets to go around it.
