The dome turf was awful.
That said, there's no doubt that there would've been a stadium deal in the works for anyone other than Bud Adams...especially after he made the tax payers gut the dome within 10 years of the franchise relocating and, if I recall correctly, was making threats about moving to Jacksonville the 1st time around.
