Sets right up for when college football regular season ends, the Texan's season is a raging dumpster fire as usual, the Rockets once again prove irrelevant, and, for good measure, the Dynamo has ended yet another feckless campaign finishing bottom of the MLS-west table and long out of the US Open Cup.ATM9000 said:

Think he means new venue as in Toyota Center.
Maybe he'll choose to be Arizona's problem and move Lakewood to the Glendale arena and we can put hockey back into the Summit!jetch17 said:

The City of Glendale is threatening to lock the Arizona Coyotes out of Gila River Arena due to unpaid charges, per @KatieJStrang.

The tax lien notice is reportedly for more than $1.3M.
The team has until Dec. 20th to pay the invoices or employees will be denied arena access. pic.twitter.com/KpfrSRE00X
I've seen this one around town...Sea Speed said:
They can keep the name coyotes and just change what its in reference to. Not sure how you turn a border smuggler in to a logo though.
So true. Gordie Howe and his sons...but the best (beast) was Terry Ruskowski . So many fights....so crazy.Quote:
I had an old neighbor who used to go to Aeros games back in the mid-70s and he told me that the crowds were absolutely insane.

Loved the Howes ... they are who got me interested in hockey as a kid. But man, Terry Ruskowski was a bad ass. Little guy with a big mustache who wasn't afraid of anyone.randy828 said:So true. Gordie Howe and his sons...but the best (beast) was Terry Ruskowski . So many fights....so crazy.Quote:

Sure does feel like you're crossing over a line where the NHL has to step-in and force the sale/relocation...some of this arena stuff feels like PR cover for something that's already a Fait Accompli.
Never seen anything like this before in Houston....unless you count the ol' "Oh, look at this patch of turf here before this preseason game....we can't play on this! This stadium is a joke, we need to move!"

That Oilers "game" was the last one my dad ever took me to. I remember sitting there for what felt like forever while some old guy with a radio and headphones was filling us in on what everyone was staring at on the turf. The Beef01 said:
