well, the new "normal" established around the last week or so, is about 12% positive test rate, in comparison to about 5% for all of May. so there seems to clearly be more people testing positive, as a percentage, even allowing for the two spikes that you point out.BohunkAg said:

Pay attention to how when the testing goes down the positive rate goes up, and when the testing goes up, the positive rate goes down. We ran short of tests here a couple weeks ago, and they started testing only the symptomatic again as a result. She said "I'm no conspiracy theorist, but in a week they will be hyping the high positivity rate here." It's exactly what happened.
I don't know if the politicians are dumb, looking for something to latch onto, or it's a concerted effort, but the lack of their grasp of statistics and trends is amazing.

I think that if someone has a stroke, dies, and is tested and has Covid that that would take 2 weeks to report. I think that if someone is in the ICU for 2 weeks with Covid and dies that would be reported as such immediately.htxag09 said:
