I made the distinction because I haven't been back since the change so I don't know if it's still good or not

Just had Brooklyn Pizzaria in Humble and it was pretty ok! Kinda surprised to find good pizza out here. RC's in Kingwood isn't bad either.

Bump because the pizza scene on the South side sucks.

Sound off with your new favs around the Houston area.

Between Wilcrest and Kirkwood northside I-10. It's been there for about a year.

Luna has $3 art car and foreign owned double IPAs if you wanna get smashed on a budget.

I need to get Satellite of Pizza again.

Totino's with just a touch of freezer burn. I like to partially thaw it so all of the tiny ham cubes slide to one side, then cook it about 50 degrees under what it says on the box. Reminds me of when grandma used to babysit.

Nothing beats my backyard digiornos on a BGE. I like to get it started in the oven for 15 minutes then transfer to a custom made caliche-based pizza stone to finish.

My Chicago buddy says that the deep dishes at Star Pizza are about as close as he's had. I've never been, so I can't attest.

RC's in the woodlands does it occasionally as a special but they don't announce or advertise it at all. You just have to show up every single day and find out if they're doing it that day... so thusly this information is of no use.

Try Big Z's on S. Mason in Katy if you are out west.

I went to Giordano's and Lou Malnati's in Chicago and didn't find them any better than Star Pizza's deep dish. Lou Malnati's had a unique crust, but that was about it.

Rosati's in Katy. I know two Chicago natives and they fawn over this place like no other.

Well there's nobody outside of them who makes it. So if that's what you consider "legit", then you'll need to fly to Chicago.

you skipped the part where you passed out with the totino's in the oven and woke up to a smoke filled house and a hockey puck in the oven.

never saw that deposit again.

Lol my roommate used to consistently put on Big Lebowski after NG or Poets, smoke a bowl, and fall asleep with dumplings in the steamer and wake up with the smoke alarms going off.

There's a dude who runs the kitchen at Rudyard's who makes a really good pizza. We have reservations at Tiny Champions tonight - will report back on that pizza.

Star is the best I've found inside the loop but not perfect. Chicago Italian Beef & Pizza was disappointing.

Tiny Champions makes a good ass pizza. Pasta on point too. Great spot on the east side, like a Nancy's Hustle junior. Would definitely go back.

FYI Barry's is closed...it did meet minimum standards when it was open but i wouldn't consider their pizza great. I too struggle with Houston pizza options and prefer to roll my own.
