Tiny Champions makes a good ass pizza. Pasta on point too. Great spot on the east side, like a Nancy's Hustle junior. Would definitely go back.
Headed to Tiny Champions tonight!

Is their anywhere in Houston to get legit Chicago style pizza?

Rosati's in Katy. I know two Chicago natives and they fawn over this place like no other.
When I lived in Phoenix, all of the Chicago blue hairs loved Roasati's.

I don't get the love for Chicago style pizza personally, but they seemed to just about universally agree it was legit and what not.

We loved Tiny Champions! everything was very good, it's a cool space, and the staff was very friendly. I still think, though, if I just want pizza, it's tough to beat Purple Flour.

Nice. We'll probably try to Purple Flour soon. It's right by my office.

Tried pizaros since Romano's is closed for a fire. Their New York is pretty good but I actually really liked their Detroit style pizza. Good stuff.

Had Satellite of Pizza (truck at Kirby Ice) and Mellow Mushroom recently. Both very good. St. Arnold has excellent food in general and the pizza is great.

Pizaro's Pizza is money. The owner lived in Italy just to learn the Neapolitan style. He imported his ovens from Italy and you can tell it's his passion. He now added Detroit style and NY. All very good.

Brick & Brews in Magnolia (Tamina Road) is really good. The owners are also always there and really cool people.

I still stand by deep dish pizza casserole aka "Chicago style" being the most overrated food ever. The only thing worse that deep dish casserole is Chicago style violence, but not by much.

But it is pretty much the best casserole ever invented.

No way. Nothing compares to the buttery, cheesy goodness of a Lou Malnati's.

Romano's is better than all the places I've tried but haven't tried brothers.

Also love their damn chicken parm sandwich

Have tried Star, Franks, pinks, luigis, Luna, fuzzys, pizzaros. Second place might go to luigis Or pizaros though. Luigis has fantastic wings as well.

Forgot I also had Chicago Italian beef and pizza but stars deep dish is wayyyy better than that.

How is star? It's walking distance to me, and I've always wondered how it is

I like their Chicago style a lot, but their New York style is pretty mediocre. Don't think it has a great crust compared to the Chicago style.

Disclaimer: I'm a pepperoni pizza enthusiast, not big on veggies on my pizza.

And I would literally eat pizza from all the places I listed because I love pizza and none of them were terrible or anything I just have preferences.

Tried a piece of pepperoni with onion today. As a pizza by the slice. I was very underwhelmed. Too much sauce and chew in the crust for NY Style

As far as I know the only Houston location is in the Heights but had Mellow Mushroom for the first time over in Gulf Shores recently. I won't claim that it's the best pizza ever but for a franchised pizza chain it was outstanding. I don't know if the Heights location would be the same though.

I had a calzone from a place that is supposedly pretty well known. A lot of oilers players used to eat there. Classic red and white checkered tablecloths. Don't remember exactly where it was, but I would guess somewhat close to downtown.

Anyone know what this place is called?

Edit: Found out its fuzzy's on Antoine. Love their calzones

I've only been to the Heights location once, a couple of years ago. I remember it being on par with the Gulf Shores location.

My rediscovery of Fuzzy's had me craving a calzone
