Just noticed for the first time the new farmer's market in the Fege's/STM parking lot yesterday. Looked like they had some decent vendors. Noticed Julep had a truck there. Anybody been?

Jarro Cafe ??? Long Point and Gessner. Anyone been??

They open back up? They used to be by the Jack In The Box right there on Gessner north of Long Point but they closed a few years ago.

But yeah when they were open it was awesome. Great tacos.

Anybody checked out the new Shoot the Moon self pour bar next to Feges? Not sure how well it will do, prices don't seem too bad.

Yup, was skeptical but I liked it. It can get a bit pricey however. Didnt have food but chatted with someone who was impressed.

Looks like St. Christopher's on Blalock is having a farmer's market on Saturday, September 11th as well. It's nice to see so many markets around here.

This occurs the second Saturday of the month. We always go to pick up some Feges to throw in the freezer for quick bbq tacos throughout the month. While not a huge market, there are several quality vendors there.

Is there a place with better barbacoa and breakfast tacos than Taqueria Cancun on Gessner just south of Emnora, near the Whataburger that used to get shot up? Hard to imagine any better, but just curious.

Nice...just from the appearance, I have to try this place. Looks like a Hartz Chicken turned check cashing place turned Taco shack.

I've tried quite a few places but Tostaderia Madero right at the corner of Blalock and Clay has the best barbacoa in the branch.

Their breakfast tacos damn good as well.

Will try this week. As far as tornado taco, or now 7 taco, I haven't been impressed as of late. I live right by there and choose to go elsewhere. Interested to hear if it's gotten better.

We stopped going there.

Sounds crazy, but the donut place at corner of west view and wirt makes good breakfast tacos, we get them every weekend.

The barbacoa tacos at El Ultimo are the best I've had in Spring Branch.

Tornado Taco is OG and had some of the best cheeseburgers in the branch back in the day. You could order it spicy and the would add chopped japs to the ground patty. So good.

Will be giving this a shot. Have passed in a million times. A lot of times I unfairly pass up some of these little strip center places but I have hit gold on some of em in the past.

Summit! Their breakfast tacos are insane...almost too much for me sometimes. They have my fav glazed donuts too. When I combine the two it's almost a guaranteed food coma.

Sucks to hear on Tornado Taco as I thought they had some of the best tacos around for white people. The tortillas were perfectly toasted. I used to chat with the owner and he had some grand plans for the place. Supposedly hired Tony Hawks marketing person as a consultant for his ideas. Haven't seen him the rare instances I've gone in the last couple of years. I wonder if he sold it.

Not sure if it's still there but there's a Tornado Burger in Stafford that's the real OG of the franchise. They do burgers and cheesesteaks spicy just like mentioned where it's got some diced jalapeños in there.

Taqueria Cancun has some tasty ass barbacoa tacos but they destroy my internal organs so I can only handle them in moderation. This gringo just isn't adapted to handle all the grease. They taste damn good going down though.

The Branch is some of the best value in Houston

I have to do really really taco runs before work. I've been hitting up Cancun b/c they open at 6 and it's good eating. Any of these other places open that early on weekdays?

Or 99 Ranch. Always go to Asian grocery stores for seafood unless you want some bouji stuff.

We love this too, former Aggie soccer player and I think her husband played football.

On West Rd, a few blocks west of Beltway 8 is Anna's. Mostly crawfish and shrimp. She isn't the most pleasant person to deal with though.

Anybody have any chiropractor suggestions?
