I'm stoked!!! Got floor seats
Yo tambien.
Yo tambien, but no snake pit
What's the difference? Snake pit guaranteed area in front?
Friends and I are gonna get there super early to get front row to stage
Snake pit gets you this close, and you only have to make your way through 20' of medium density people. And you are obviously sometimes behind them, sometimes they face you.
The GA area, you'd have to fight through 150' of high density people, and you still have a 5' barrier (about a 15' barrier if you are along the left/right edges). I don't even know that they sold snake pit passes outside of the 'experience packages', or if you win them. I won mine. I know every show, the metclub people comb the upper stands and upgrade a few random people to snake pit.
Here you see the buffer zone for the regular GA
Where as, in the snake pit, that catwalk was up against my chest.
Of course, they aren't always on the catwalk, they are on the 'main stage' area a bit too. That is like 8' high, and a huge 15' buffer zone between GA and it. If you are in snake pit, you walk in that buffer zone to enter the snake pit (no fighting through crowds); you walk under the catwalk into it. The catwalk then slopes down to bring them to about 4' high.
Snake pit was unbelievable. You're off looking one way looking at kirk, then all of a sudden your area lights up, you turn around and James is right behind you with spotlight on him. It's literally a 360 degree experience. You can't see Lars much, since he's main stage and back some, but they do seek and destroy on a secondary kit that pops up out of the front of the catwalk. So my view was like:
Between this and meet and greet (humblebrag), I will likely never have a concert experience like this again. My M/G win came with the snake pit upgrade, something I didn't even know until a few days later when I got the instruction email.
