I spent a lot of time traveling all over the world and GMT is best to keep track of 2 time zones and i love the look of it. Although I am out of central time zone currently, I travel much less than I used to so I dont use it as often as I once did, but every time I look at my wrist I'm reminded of the hard work and sacrifice that went in to even being in a position to own something like a high end watch locally.

I saw some headlines about this but just got around to reading the article. Pretty wild. Is the idea that Omega was duped by fraudsters or Omega was doing the duping by bidding so high for one of their own watches that it somehow "elevates" the brand in terms of collector desirability?TheOC16 said:

Another party would have to be bidding on it as well to get it that high, so they would need at least another person in on the fraud, unless the people that made it also had someone bidding on it against omega.

On the subject of random watch sightings, the guy next to me at the hotel bar in Boston is chugging Stellas in a beat up Nautilus.
Random 20 something instagram types on the domestic flight from sao Paolo to salvador in brazil walked past me and the dude had on the gold yacht master on the rubber strap. At baggage claim i noticed he was wearing Prada shoes, Meanwhile his gf had a Michael kors bag so part of me says the watch was fake. You aren't flying cattle class as a 20 something in brazil wearing a $15k watch while your old lady sports an outlet mall teenybopper backpack. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Went to the only rolex dealer i could find in salvador and they no longer sell them. Add in the fact that there are zero golf courses i can find either and this weekend is pretty lame.
Are they offering MS-13 hunts? Be a great revenue generator since they're killing or imprisoning anyone associated with the gang…which I'm kind of okay with.
