If not mistaken, Tissot is to Omega as Tudor is to Rolex.

The gulf between Tissot and Omega is greater than that between Tudor and Rolex, imo. Significantly.

I really like the PRC 200 Chrono Auto, but it looks like they've been discontinued and are a little hard to come by right now.

I know many don't like Joma, but Black Bay sale going on right now.

I bet FTAC2011 could get those at the same price or better, but with the factory warranty.

I'm pretty sure I can.

Thanks man. Price would be close but yes I could get it around that but with factory warranty rather than the joma warranty

On a side note, I find it very funny that Tudor has a 'Build Your Own Black Bay" feature on the website, but then it just funnels you into their standard lines.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it's essentially identical to Rolex and all other watch websites. It just allows you to choose from the each of the offerings that are available. Strap, material, dial color, bezel color, etc instead of trying to figure out the model number from text list.

Yeah, Rolex has their 'Configurator' where you choose the model configuration.

But to me there's something about the layout and wording of Tudor's 'Build Your Black Bay 58' that makes it feel like something you can build from scratch but then...not so much.

Don't know what to tell you.

I'm not aware of any high end brand that let's you "build" something other than their set product offerings. I've been on a lot of watch pages and many have something similar.

Not sure why you're trying to make something out of nothing.

My 1925 Omega pocket watch is so loud when it ticks, my wife won't let me leave it on the night stand because it keeps her awake at night.

Actually - I went ahead and picked one up, black bezel version (BB58). Brand new, still got the stickers and tags on it. Factory warranty dated 8/22. And I'd let it go for less than Jomashop's after tax price. Incoming this weekend, if anybody's interested just let me know.

I don't believe that's accurate. The company is called Nomos Glashutte, because they are headquartered in Glashutte, Germany. Glashutte Original is a subsidiary of Swatch group (nttiawwt)

Another reason to love Nomos. No mothership. No need to source movements. Just beautiful watch making.

That appears to be correct.

"Nomos remains an independent manufacturer one of the few true independents in the watchmaking world, and perhaps the only independent making watches at prices accessible to the general public. Their watches are almost entirely German-made, and they've won almost 140 international awards. These include awards for value, quality, and design."

I am a fan of Nomos as a company because they have carved their own unique space and style. They aren't just cranking out homage pieces.

I am not the hugest fan of their design though because I don't love long lugs.

They are very rooted in their style and segment. They're the ultimate affordable, high quality dress watch for those that like simplistic, clean lines dress watches.

I would sooner wear a Nomos backwards than forwards. Their movements are beautiful their faces are bland in my opinion

There is a simplicity and elegance to their designs, I think it a stretch to call most of their models dress watches.

Fair. I generally lump everything not diving or sport into the dress category. They're as much casual as dress.

New watch just in from Japan. As hoped wears a lot larger than 40.5mm due to the length of the lugs. I would say wears closer to 43mm than 40.5.

Bracelet is really nice with none of the issues the speedmaster had, and the movement is gorgeous. The dial is true maroon as well, all in all very happy and this will get a lot of wear time

Probably inside his wine room that contains 24 cases of Screaming Eagle Cab and every release of Pappy Van Winkle since it's inception.
