My Hamilton had a similar strap. It got nasty from daily wear within a month. Just a bad color for a strap. So account for buying a new strap in your budget.

Yeah, the strap is okay, but I can see that getting dirty real quick. I'll probably get a NATO to put it on if I decide to get it.

So I want to where my SMP as much as possible. The bracelet is my favorite look but I know I'm going to beat it to death. Picked up a NATO strap for it and I think I'm going to get the black rubber strap next. Any other recs on straps that would look good? Thanks.

Do it, you won't be disappointed. My only minor complaint is a slightly audible automatic winding mechanism, but I love mine as a change of pace option.

Yeah they sound cool in theory and are super hyped in this price point.

But when I tried one on in store I just did not like the way it looked or felt on wrist. Not the quality, just the shape.

I like some of the Tissot watches, but compared to other brands, I think they tend to look much better in photos than in real life, which is the opposite of most. They feel cheap to me and the materials look too shiny....I haven't tried this one on in the store, but have tried a dozen or so. I gave up on Tissot as a result. For a few hundred bucks more, would rather have a Longines Hydro or Oris entry level

I always figured Tissot was sort of on par with something like Bulova. Not as bad as Fossil but not a whole lot higher.

How much are you looking to spend? I have said it multiple times, but the best bang for your buck is Nomos. Unique designs & in house movements for 2-4k.

I do like their stuff but my current appetite and budget, at least philosophically, is suppressed like my bank balance. I've also committed to some hefty travel in next 6 months.
