I can't comment to that ladies watch in particular, but it looks nice and that Tissot Power 80 movement is awesome for the price. I have a high end collector friend who has bough and worn multiple PRX Powermatic 80 men's watches and ended up selling a few of them off his wrist to other folks who admired them.
I'm pretty sure that's the same movement as the Hamilton H-10 as well.

If you're looking for an automatic instead of quartz, Tissot could be a good option in that price range. Decent selection of ladies watches int he $700- $1K range.

Not trying to pull a total TexAgs and blow your budget, but a Longines Presence is really close to your budget.

Looked at both of those. Any idea where to get a watch engraved?

As far as this thread blowing my budget, that bridge has already been crossed, burned, and the ashes scattered out to sea.

Although not necessarily women's watches, Christopher Ward might be another option in that price range.

What about a American Classic from Hamilton?

Rolex then.

Honestly no on the engraving. I think I might have heard that Eyeguy on the Houston / Outdoors board has an engraving machine in his gun store. Might be worth a shot.

My guess is any place you would buy the watch from would have the ability or a guy who does it for them.

Every mall with a things remembered or similar store will be able to engrave. Idk if I'd trust them with a watch instead of q knick knack, but I'm sure they do them.

I got a watch back engraved at a trophy shop once. Turned out nice. You could also have a shop pull the caseback for you and just take that to the engraver

If someone is looking for a deal I have this for 46k.

A couple grand more than you would pay at AD and it's a rare watch. Also a couple grand cheaper than comps.

Brand new

It is truly amazing when you consider the amount of money that Rolex spends on marketing.

That video....I don't think I would have the nerve to put a borrowed $40,000 watch, unsecured, on top of a railing over the ocean.

Hey it's a dive watch, gives him a good excuse to finally use another one of his dive watches to go search for the first dive watch.

Has anyone heard any rumors when the Omega/Swatch watches will be available online?

I've only heard that they will be available online at some point. Given how much they're going for in the secondary market I'm a bit skeptical.

I would think they would wait for a long time before putting them online and push more releases to their stores instead. They have a halo product that will get people in their stores and I'd think they'd want to milk that for all it's worth before just putting them online for bots to grab.

I think this is correct. I have seen comments from Swatch that "everyone will be able to buy as many Moonswatches as they want", but those comments are tied to purchase in a store. They seem to have gone quiet on online sales now.

I actually walked in to a Swatch store yesterday and someone else was already in there asking the guy when they would get restocked or go online. The sales guy said he had no idea and no store knows when they are going to get additional units or how many, but he didn't expect any formal announcement and that they would just show up when the show up.

I'm curious to hear the different reasons why this watch is so heavily desired. This has been the most heavily discussed and pursued watch by far I've seen on this thread.

Really I'm wondering if there is any sort of particular Swatch nostalgia driving this (I'm not really familiar with the history or "legacy" of Swatch), or if it's really all about having something with the Omega name or that looks kind of like a Speedmaster for a cheap price.

I think it has everything to do with omega branding on a watch less than $300

100%

Omega is a luxury brand. It's something you aspire to. When you put a watch that says "Omega" on your wrist, especially the Moonwatch, it shows that you've accomplished something. Watches are like title belts along the path of life.

So making that available at under $300. Yeah, people are going to be all over it.

Which is why I still contest this is a horrible branding disaster fro Omega. Anyone that knows anything knows its under $300 because that's all its worth. How does that match with "Luxury watch" and Omega. It doesn't. It literally devalues real Omega watches.

It's going to bring great revenue in the short term, but Rolex, Tudor, Breitling, etc. and other brands in that segment have to to be loving this. It literally brings down the prestige of Omega.

Since Swatch owns Omega, any argument that Omega's value is diminished would also mean that the Swatch brand increases. Nothing wrong, IMO, with making a great design attainable to more people. They're different enough that nobody is going to mistake a $300 collaboration for a real speed master. I think it's a good thing that will attract a whole new market segment. My guess is a lot of the people buying these know very little about Omega, they just know these collaborations are something that are both desirable and affordable.
