Yeah, I'd be pretty tempted to pull the trigger on that Tiffany blue dial.
I doubt that would be the same price, I think current market value on that one is like $20k

Anyone interested in buying my Oris Big Crown Pointer Date?
I bought it last summer on Teddy Baldassarre's website and I have the box, stickers, everything that came with it, including an Oris branded travel pouch. It's the blue dial version with brown leather strap.

It's in like new condition. I didn't wear it very much and I want to keep my watch collection strictly to 3 watches so this one has to go.
The dial is very nice; pictures don't do it justice. The pointer date complication is less common (I think) and a cool feature.
If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to text pictures. I'm located in Austin.
Prices on Chrono24 range from $1250-1500, so I'm asking $1300.

What are you replacing it with?
I'm replacing it with either a Tudor BB36 or another Tag. I know watch geeks hate on Tag but I love my Monaco and their connection to racing/formula 1
I really like that Oris. Looks sleek.
I love my Monaco also. It is getting serviced right now but I always get comments on it. It is a Gulf edition from many years ago now and I like racing and have always liked the Gulf livery. I don't really care for any of the other offerings they have.
I would love a vintage Rolex Oyster though. I found one I liked in 2013 that I should have bought. It would probably be worth a fortune by now.

I've been anti Tag most of my watch buying life but I posted the Heuer CS3111 a few pages back and I can't get it out of my head. If this goes on much longer I'm gonna have to buy one to scratch this itch.

Anyone have suggestions on "micro brands" ? I bought this one a couple of years ago because it was really inexpensive and was really well built. However, the damned thing is about 20 minutes fast per day. I like looking at off brand watches, mostly because I'm not yet at the point to justify a 5k plus watch.
I like the look of them, but a 20-minute error is kind of a deal killer.

Coincidentally, I read an article a year or two ago which had the premise that many/most people who wore high-end watches now don't bother to even make sure the time is correct. To the point that many men don't even bother making sure the time is actually functioning at all. Thus, high end watches have morphed into bracelets for men as opposed to watches.GAC06 said:

Reasons I recall were that with the proliferation of smart watches coupled with fewer and fewer men actually wearing traditional watches, the high end watch has morphed into more of a piece of inert jewelry as opposed to something that is functional.
I'm assuming this group would scoff at that but I wonder how truly prevalent that is these days. I bet it's actually pretty common and a thing outside of this board.

Imagine someone asks you what time it is and you have to tell them "I don't know" while they're looking at your watch and wondering if you're mental.
I liked the story behind Marnaut so I bought a watch on one of their kickstarter campaigns and it's solid as hell. It's a manufactured movement so there's nothing horologically significant about it but also means it's tried and true.
I also liked the way Unimatic was designing and selling limited edition watches so I jumped on one of those early. It was more expensive than the Marnaut and honestly it's not as good quality but it's value has jumped 2-3x because of the limited quantities.
But after all that, 95% of my wrist time goes to my Glashutte, Omega, Seiko, and Casio-oak.
That's my story with boutique type brands.

I'd email that company and see if they will fix it for you. Not a difficult fix. Or you can also take it to a watchmaker.
My favorite microbrands are Zelos and Christopher Ward.
