Ah yes. When all fails make a tasteless all black ceramic edition. Worked for Hublot. I'm sure the junk that is Tudor attracts similar types.

My non-luxury watches are all Seikos, but that doesn't make any sense.

Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf bought the name and transformed Tudor as a daughter company of the big crown and started making the Tudor watches we all think of today in 1946 after WW2 finally ended. In many cases only the name and potentially the movements were the only difference. Some were even made on the same production lines.

Seiko does it's best to imitate well known watches with a little of their own flare in value offerings. Especially the subs of Rolex and Tudor. If I was going to cough up the equivalent money of a new Rolex today, I'd probably go Tudor instead.
