That looks very similar to the watch I bought my girlfriend last year! We both love it and she gets more compliments on that from the big time "watch people" we know than I get on anything in my collection, including a Patek.

I love all the old Omegas. My problem is so many of them are Frankenstein watches.
You would not have loved the fact that I bought it to wear with my tux.
But it slides neatly under the cuff, so you wouldn't have known.

I have an RGM 222 with a caliber 923 movement, which is a recased Hamilton pocket watch. Roland Murphy was a Hamilton guy.

Thanks man. I'm not a huge fan of guilloche although I appreciate the craftsmanship, just a personal preference. I like the cleanliness of the marine chronometer look, this will replace my Nardin when it comes in

I'd take a Ball watch over quite a few of those "entry level" watches. I'm a little biased as I own 2, but from a quality stand point and their movements I think they far exceed a lot of other brands priced a bit higher. They just don't have the namesake some of these other brands do.

Not really. Again, it's a chart from a similar thread to this one I have nothing to do with.
It's a conversation starter. The entire point is luxury and value is subjective. So it's pretty close on the low end and high end and everything in the middle depends on the individual watch and person being willing to justify the cost.
Feel free to try and find a better one. I'm all for it.
